I spoke the truth. I spoke what God told me to speak. But, I did drink too much. I didn't rely enough on the courage for what God wanted. I know I'm not "courageous". But I am honest. I want to find the person I can be "honest" enough for. It's so hard to try to be strong all the time. But I know it's too much to ask. So I will continue to try to be strong, regardless of the cost.

This post begs the question: What is the burden you're carrying that you have to be strong all the time for? And is the problem that you need to be stonger or that you need more people to carry the burden with you (not that those are always easy to come by)?
Feel free not to answer any of that if the answers would be too personal to post for the whole world to read.

Like that insurance commercial says, "We all do dumb things." I can't make fun of you drunk-posting when I've done stupid stuff of my own. Maybe not the same stupid stuff, but I've been just as dumb. Probably dumber.

It's alright man. Repent and move on...we are all growing.
Licentiousness is serious but we have all stumbled. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Own your sin and when you have done so...don't let the accuser beat you up about it. Forgiveness is there and I've drug my feet about it with self-inflicted punishment before, but that's self-destructive and serves the enemy's purposes instead, I find.
Personally with drinking I had a moment where I prayed the Lord would show me how he sees it and uh...well it was a pretty clear picture. I have been stubborn in it for a season or two but I definitely understand why drunkenness is sin and drinking isn't across the board. Still, if one is inclined to drink until it alters them beyond responsible bounds (this is different for everybody) then learning to let alcohol go until we drink it new with the Lord later is something to seriously consider.
If we are at the point of bondage to it, then it is our responsibility to seek out freedom from the many resources available in this area. Not saying you are there man, no idea, just putting all this forward in love

KJV says it this way:
14) But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
There is a Scripture that also tells us to not be a drunkard. I believe a person is testing God and His mercy when they do such things.
I wonder how many believe they should be on their knees in prayer asking for Gods forgiveness instead of posting here?
I do not want to make a joke about this persons confession. It is far too important a thing to act this way while claiming to be a Christian to make jokes about.

They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
If you insist on drinking at the moment, I strongly suggest beer. maybe not the most popular advice. But it is really difficult to drink enough to the point of losing limbs and so forth. Bad as it sounds. We will do what we do, till we don't. Saved or not.
No you certainly don''t deserve to be made fun of. The joke was really about drinking and not directed at you personally. You actually sound like a pretty courageous person. And a humble one. That is a rare combination these days. I pray that God helps you conquer whatever you are struggling with.
I hope you are not trying to justify drunkenness' with these Scriptures, for they do not.

Conviction is what God brings. It alerts you to wrong doing so that you may learn, grow and move on.
Guilt is what the devil brings. It alerts you to wrong doing, but with the intent of using it against you to ensure you sit in stagnant shame, and thus never grow, learn or change.
The best thing you can do is accept it, learn from it and move on. Let it go. Putting yourself down doesn't make it better in the eyes of God, nor does it balance things out to punish yourself. If you want to do right in God's eyes, learn and grow and keep moving forward. Mistakes happen to everyone.
