Where is the "wrong" in holding a professed believer "accountable" for living a sin filled life, and flaunting that life within the Congregation? Seems to me Scripture teaches we are suppose to hold them accountable, and, if they do NOT repent, and return to Godly living, they are to be PUT OUT of the Congregation............

how do you think about this one in the bible ?

Do you think that you want he repents, he will repents?
Kick him out of the church and he'll repents?

He must know in his heart and mind that this is not right,
We should find a suitable way to solve the problem

I think you are making brother go to extremes.

Do you not know that God chastens those He loves? I think you are ignoring the vital necessity for a believer to live a Christ-like life, and to present themselves Holy and blameless to God and the Congregation and the world.

Scripture says to "kick him out," so your argument is with Scripture, not me........... Or, do you just choose to accept the Scripture that fits your beliefs?

As well, I DID NOT state the FIRST STEP was to "kick him out." But you appear to have your mind set on NOT admitting this person is in dire need of being held accountable for his sinful actions...........

My uncle will think I am angry just like some of u here think. He will not listen to me because the woman he abandon with a ring is my late mam's sister. Do u get me.

As for the New covenant, Grace................it is absolutely necessary to see it through the eyes of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, and He will reveal the Truth!

You might broaden your horizons of Scripture Study to include the ENTIRE Gospel of Christ.

Yeah, that might help.

1 John, Chapter 4:

1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

JESUS TAUGHT THUS:

Matthew, Chapter 18:

15) Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

16) But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

17) And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

You would also do well to study with understanding the entire First Chapter of Romans, and what God Himself did/said of evildoers.........

Work on this and then get back to me without the piety, ok?

You are wasting your time with this one................he will never accept that he fails to understand ALL of Scripture, and he will only push his piety on others............as he believes he is so very much more than all others.......

Don't worry about how the situation in that Church made you feel.............your instincts/feelings/beliefs were both correct and Biblical............Don't try and make sense with this person...........

I am not blaming anyone. I have stated what's currently happening now and I am not a pretender as well his aware I am not happy with his actions. This is not a personal matter Is not about him leaving my aunt is about him misleading the congregation if u can't rectify yr own mistakes how do u teach someone and ask them to rectify their own mistakes.

Thank you dear. His not wrong he just think I have hate in me and playing the good. The reason I left is because I believe what is being done in the church is not right I stayed almost for two years thinking they will correct the matter but nothing was happening the issue is being ignored like nothing happened. My concern is what will happened if one or some member decide to follow his footstep will he rectify them or watch if he will not then what will the church turn into if he does confront them about it will they listen to him after behaving and still behave in the same way no.

Know I get it the problem is you want to understand what you want to hear. No one is talking about not forgiving anyone. The fact is his misleading not only himself but other ppl too . No one has anything against him so we can speak of forgiveness. Even christ speak of if we do not acknowledge that we are wrong and repent how then can one be pardon. The fact is that he feels his right. I have forgiven his mistakes which he refused to let go. All I wanted to hear was if their actions are right not if I should forgive him or not or else I would have placed my title topic as " should I forgive him or not?". My question is what they are doing is it right . The problem is people don't like to listen to problems and try to solve it all they do is jump to what they want to hear and say forgive him. I did forgive him. I am scared of his life, that of the pastor and the rest if they dont solve this issue it might affect someone or others in the long run, it might not seems like an issue now but one day they will realise how their actions ran their lives and that of others. For now let me look bad in your eyes and let it slide. Let me hear form other people for u I have enough of your point and I understand it

That's good instincts for a young person. And good on your having the courage to act on what you saw.

Here's some more insight for you... Lots of times if a person is guilty of X, then they will have a tendency to be unable to call out X as wrong when they see it happening elsewhere.

I find it odd that you consider a scripturally given solution "the worst option"....

Apparently, you know more about this than the apostle Paul did. I envy you.... :rolleyes:

Flagrant, un-repented sin, being openly flaunted before the congregation should NEVER be tolerated. If the people involved in that are showing to the world that THEY consider such behavior as acceptable, they have no place in Christ's body.
THAT is what Paul is saying.

You disagree.... take it up with God.

at a previous local assembly, there was a case of adultery between a deacon and the women's ministry leader - each married to others. they were confronted by individuals, but the relationship continued. it then went to the deacon board and pastor, to which they "confessed" and "repented." both were placed on "sit out" of leadership so each person could be restored. sadly, the relationship didn't end. this is when the church leadership asked them to not return because they refused to end this affair. it was also affecting the congregation because it was visible they were still together. there were a couple of people in the congregation who didn't agree with this decision of the man and women being "kicked out", but it really bothered me how much these individuals were "okay" with this man and woman having an affair. anywho...

it was a 2 year battle, but praise the Lord the man repented and ended the affair. he and his wife reconciled all for the glory of God.

i'm not sure how the woman is doing. all i can hope and pray is that she repented as well and is following the Lord.

it's one thing if a person is struggling with a sin and is genuinely seeking the Lord. it's quite another if someone is in open rebellion thinking it's all ok.
