I am confused

Well last night some one told me something I never heard of before called a past life she said it was something about where you have lived before in a different form. I do not know rether or not to believe it, do Christians believe this??? I really dont understand this but you know hearing it for the first time kinda caught me off gaurd...What do you guys think about it... I mean I do not want to believe this if it against Christian religion or something like that...I am just confused
 
From a biblical view that is impossible. we live here, we die, we go to heaven or hell.

other religions believe in reincarnation. that you can be born again as someone or something else. Like Buddhism
 
well.. do u think it is posible like on some movies or something that u stick around as a ghost or spirit if there is "unfinished buissness" or something ?

This sounds a lot like some hindu and occultist beliefs. I can confidently say that this is not true, and it is not biblical. What they are referring to is called reincarnation which is directly in conflict with what the scriptures say happens when we die.

Nope. Once you are dead you are dead. You go to judgement and either go to heaven or hell no other life and no second chances.

just saying no one really knows what up you cant belive everything you read some may not be true or some information maybe missing what if reincanation was a choice you can make

what if we dont yer sounds like a good offer but if there was something you couldnt achive in your life un finished business i mean hes god right anything is possible
 
I'd be heartbroken if I had to return

and btw the bible says the earth will be destroyed and there will be a new heaven and a new earth... so I personally can't see any proofs of reincarnation in the bible :)
 
Their is nothing in the bible for reincarnation, but a lot against it.
 
well i think this came from people saying "we" killed Jesus on the cross, well it was us but it was past humans, and god created the earth and he created man he didn't creat man again..
 
There are some other religions that believe in reincarnation. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that we will be born again on this Earth as someone or something else. Just like forgivenandloved said after death is judgement day (if you have asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and have asked him into your heart you go to heaven and all your sins are gone) then you go to heaven or hell. Think of heaven as an adventure! It will be so exciting! But for now I will worship God on Earth.
 
In my country there is a growing number of people who believe in reincarnation. They are known as followers of Allan Kardec (founder of Spiritism). Some verses to show that this is contrary to the Word of God

"And because God's law by death comes to men once, and after that they are judged" Hebrews 9:27

"The cloud comes to an end and is gone, so he who goes down into the underworld comes not up again.He will not come back to his house, and his place will have no more knowledge of him." Job 7:9-10

"So I saw that there is nothing better than for a man to have joy in his work - because that is his reward. Who will make him see what will come after him?" Ecclesiastes 3:22
 
if you want knowledge for yourself read the book, many lives, many masters
it is written by a doctor, not that he is any different than you, but maybe you will be able to judge for youself

if in this world you are able to find joy and find a place where you are accepted and given an opporunity to be and do how God created you, your passions, your gifts, your faith, you are a blessed individual
