Perhaps the Music Forum? Miscellaneous?hey just curious whats the right sub-forum to put "hillsong pop culture christians"?
You are welcome. It may get Biblical, as anything can, but is it a Biblical topic?thanks for responding. was curious because it might get kinda biblical real quick
I did a thread title search for "Hillsong"wow cool. you seem to really know the forums well
I lived in Albany for awhile. Beautiful scenery but terrible weather. Always grey, cold, windy and wet. What is the use of all the beautiful beaches and scenery if you can rarely go out and enjoy it? Weather there is improving though. My sister lives there and when I visited I saw the sun a few times lol.
Well went back to work today . Today was a tad physical, but easy enough work I didn't mind. My place of work is repackaging type plant. It was a little tedious after my 8th hr. there. But not complaining I work 4 days a week 10 hr. shifts.
I was surprised to see 2 people I recognized they had hired. My youngest son's father-in-law and his brother. I really didn't say anything to either one. My youngest son and his wife don't really talk to me , because they only want to argue. They are atheist and very argumentative and rude. My son was not like this until he had spent alot of time with his wive's family. So I try to keep the peace and give them all space . Arguments really never solve anything, I will not argue especially about God and the word .
I was happy though to work with a young woman who is a Christian today. It was wonderful fellowship, amen.
Reminds me of this great LP. I was once thick as a brick LOL. Biblical term is "stiff necked."As insulting as it sounds, trying to convince family that God is and that Jesus is who He says He is, it seems like you might as well tell it to a brick wall. Anyway, we are all responsible for what we choose to believe, and Jesus declared that a prophet won't be respected /believed by his/her own household. Doesn't mean that they won't believe a prophet that's not in the family of course, that is our hope and prayer for them.
I remember coming onto the Sterling Ranges from the east. They were covered in a necklace of clouds. And then I hit the coast, and seeing those huge rocky ledges leaning down into the sea, looking foreboding in the overcast skies, I thought I must have made a wrong turn and somehow ended up in Scotland!
Yes it does look Scottish or Irish looking. I dont think many Scottish or Irish live there though??
It was far too cold and rainy for me and when there was a sunny day to go to the beach you wouldn't enjoy it because the winds were too strong.
I moved to Perth instead.
My last laptop (which I am still in possession of) never had a properly functioning "T" key.My keyboard hates me![]()
My last laptop (which I am still in possession of) never had a properly functioning "T" key.
Ugh, the typos that came out of that! Not even proof reading would reveal all my mistakes.
Three years I lived with that, and then a fan started malfunctioning. I put up with that for
close to a year, as it got worse and worse to the point I could no longer tolerate the constant
grinding and whirring. My daughter gifted me a new(ish) laptop for Christmas last year. I say
"new(ish)" because she had given it to her dad the Christmas previous, but he had never used
it before he passed away right around the time my laptop was becoming intolerable. Between
the time of forsaking the noisy laptop and receiving the new laptop, I reverted to the laptop
I'd replaced before that one due to a completely unreliable wifi connection after it had been
twice dragged off my desk at work when the power cord got caught in my chair castors. Being
smacked on the floor is not good for laptops, apparently. Funny thing is, that aberration did
eventually correct itself, since whenever I used it as a back-up after replacing it, I never had
a problem getting online or staying connected! Oh, the vagaries of life!
But something else too: in trying to fix that wifi connecting problem before replacing the
laptop because of it, I reset my device to factory standard a couple of times. I did not lose
my personal image files and documents, which surely was a blessing, but I thought I needed
to replace the fonts I had downloaded onto it. And it was while I was searching out the fonts,
that I started seeing little things here and there that gave me the idea that I could perhaps
start making my own designs instead of simply adding text and/or a border to found images,
as well as perhaps correcting them for density and color. The latter two functions were what
comprised my main job description as a printer in photo labs, the only environment I have
worked from the day of my 21st birthday, a fact I had always considered a gift from the
"Spirit of the Universe," since I was a non-believer when I began my life's work.
Brought here so as to not derail the other thread![]()
Yes I have done the trip many times over from Perth to down south to visit my sister. It is about a five hour drive
I barely hit half an hour and I am already wondering "are we there yet"
Sometimes I listen to a sermon that I like. Once my sister in law loaned me a audio book called "tears of the moon" It is a fiction book on pearl farming in Broome by Di Morrisey. At first I thought "Oh how boring this will be" but she encouraged me to listen to it. I did and it was such a great book and the speaker was great too at reading it. I ended up buying the two sequels to it. That was years ago. I may dig it out again and listen to it. It was a fiction romance book based on the pearl farming in the early 1900's (I dont know the exact dating) but I highly recommend it.
Virtual keyboard, do you mean it is on your screen? Could you add a real keyboard? Even my recently new(ish) laptop had issues from the get-go. The touch pad would click down and not come back up, which would then freeze the whole keyboard, rendering the laptop completely useless. It began happening the first day I used it at my daughter's place on Christmas day, and continued to get worse over the next month to the point where constant hard resets would not fix it, at which point I sought out a solution online to discover that this has been an ongoing issue with Dell devices for at least eight years. One fix was to use a mouse instead. So now I do that. At first even that was a bit of an problem because I really had very little space to maneuver a mouse. So I taped a birthday card to the right front corner of my device to increase the real estate a tad. It helped by giving me a tiny bit of extra space, plus prevented the mouse from further degrading the laptop's surface.Seriously though M, I don't think I have the necessary dexterity to use the virtual keyboard on this ipad. I'm making heaps of mistakes. I've tried swiping but still not good. It is so frustrating.![]()
