That I know of. Is it standard? Or is it due to the individual member and a question of their choice of thread starters?
Thanks for your answer. I was hoping there was an , "ask the staff" , forum for this but this is the closest I could find instead.

Hi Lillywolf you can assume that all forums are set to wait for approval of new threads. We may at our discretion set some frequent posting long time members to bypass that but you can assume for your purposes that when you post a thread you need to wait for approval. We do have more help with the screening now around the clock so hopefully you don't have to wait long. Understand that it's kinda necessary to keep the site clean and more spam free and keep a little more control/restriction on heresy agendas. :)

Thank you for your prompt response. :) I sure do understand the need to protect the community. My curiosity arrived as I wondered since I don't post new threads that often if this was usual or due to concern for my posting style.
