I suspect you agree these evil spirits pass through flesh, right? So, what is a wall or brick or stone to them who traverse ''heavenly places'' (Ephesians 6:12)? In addition, like many exorcist, who often makes house calls, are in the same capacity as God's Son who could barely see that herd of swine. My guess is their existence in whatever realm they are in, is one of maddening desperation.

More along the lines of you dont see many herds of animals in cities.

Whichever and however much the desolation from abandoning their estate, for us, the victory is not in demonology, but in the revelation of the truth to ''know, , the power''(1Cor 4:19,20), the great men and women of faith had. No the victory isnt in demonology, it's in the cross and Jesus. But demonology is just one of the many things that are needful for us to know about the enemy since it is demons and such that our war to enforce the victory of Jesus is with on this planet.

Ephesians 6:12-13
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand..../KJV

so it will definitely be necessary to know how to deal with such demonic beings. And you're right, that takes diligence and continually stretching the spiritual boundaries of ones comfort zone.

Hmm. Well now, I find it more than interesting how that Lester needed little to no assistance with these prompt expulsions of those spirits, whereas exorcist, Bob Larson's many encounters (whom he forces each spirit to tell him what there name is) nearly always calls on assistance, having been assaulted a few times out of thousands. BL differs from LS in that BL also forces the spirit to name how long and what justification that spirit or spirits had for taking residence, gets the sufferer to renounce and agree to deliverance beforehand.

A legitimate concern. Of course, in everything we do under the benefits of His name, though the word specifies several items, including casting out demons all to His glory, , if it were held to such exactness to cite 'In Jesus' name!', then so would the word also exhibit such exactness. But in Acts 19:11,12, we are not granted such exactness (though as you say, LS did so repeatedly is a concern). Still, as we observe:

"Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,
so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick,
and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them."

I thought about that when he said it. It stumped me until I realized that we are at a training school of the Lord's. So if so then it would be entirely appropriate to give us assignments to do. some things cant be learnt Like for instance Love can not be learned up without suffering or love.

Wasn't it Peter who told us to add to our faith, ''love'' (2 Peter 2:7), yet, as the Master said, the Spirit himself will teach you ''all things''. Which I am still trusting in His edification over this other item, ,

I'm sure you remember that lady who followed the Apostles for a time, openly proclaiming ''These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” A counterfeit evangelical of counterfeit convictions that had to be brought to heal.

What is the Holy Spirit's council on this young lady who was affirming, the Apostle's word? We now know she later had to have the evil spirit cast out, but only after days and days. This was a time when the Apostle learned somewhat quickly to discern the Spirit of truth from error.

Fast-forward to today, not to be over-sensational here but, I believe there is untold harm being perpetrated on the deliverance ministry that so few if any are seen bringing up. In review, we have one position that maintains the ''oppressed'' Christian could be a candidate for deliverance (after discerning whether it were unbridled flesh or a spirit). Then, there are whole ministries that supports - if the sinner receives Christ, there is 'no way' that person could be inhabited with a demon, for he has received and been sealed with the Holy Spirit of sonship.

Yes, Brother. That's why why we have to learn how to deal with these evil spirits and the authority that we walk in in and have been given. If people don't believe it it and walk in it then, when the big event happens they wont be ready and will not react properly to it. There will not be time to pray for people. Why does Psalm 91 say 1000 will die at my side and 10,000 at my right hand, because people are going to be dying that fast.

They will fill the sky full of ships, most demonic Aliens vessels and some US Military vessels and it is a false flag deception where the Aliens are fake but the death and destruction will be real. There wont be time to pray. You have to pray now before it happens...

I became interested more in casting out demons because, I'm 63 and been an epileptic since I was about 4 or 5. At first I supposedly grew out of it, and they even took me off the medication and I remained seizure free for 18 years. However! during those years I was a recreational pot smoker. I liked hearing that being a pot smoker helped epileptics, but that was just an excuse for recreational use. After being seizure free for 18 years, I decided I want to quit smoking pot. It's a young man thing, eh. I like being clear headed. so I quit smoking pot. 3 days later I had my first seizure in 18 years. Trip to hospital, eeg, get back on meds, start smoking pot again, I guess it really does help!! Oh well but I am a medicinal user now. I know how often I have to smoke to keep it in my system. Between meds and smoking pot again I remained seizure free for 11 more years! I was thinking, I want to quit smoking pot again, is it ok? I'm on good medication now and maybe the pot thing was just a fluke? so I quit smoking pot again. (wasnt walking with the Lord yet).
4 days later I had another seizure. This time I was driving on the highway at 70 mph during rush hour. Rolled my new truck 3 times, hit a tree, busted up my back. (The Lord saved me, a whole testimony goes with that!)

so the first time I tried quitting pot, I had a seizure in 3 days. The 2nd time I quit smoking it was 4 days later I had the seizure. So it's safe presume it was not a Fluke! I was even on medication for it for this seizure!

So long story short, I have come full circle on this and have been ready to treat my condition as an evil spirit now. They tried to kill me last time and were almost successful. I reached out to the Lord and said Lord be with me because I felt the seizure coming on.

My understanding is that there are physical ailments and demonic ailments. Some physiological ailments can open the door for evil spirits to enter. Or evil spirits can cause an ailment physically from their presence. Not all ailments of course but many of them.

It was the epileptic boy that the Disciples could not cast it out. Jesus said that kind only goes out with prayer and fasting. So that's a strong one. I have tried a few times to cast it out and I have not had success at it. So I'm off and learning about proper fasting and pray pray praying, and learning about casting out demons from people who have experience in the area! Lester Summrall, Derek Prince! And who knows? Maybe even here on the board? Hence my thread.

So I started fasting more, so what. Not to grandstand just discussing spiritual warfare with like minded believers. Besides, lol, I have never been successful in casting a demon out that I know of. Just working that direction though.

I remember this story of this deaf.. woman comes up for pray. And the lord told this preacher its a spirit cast it out. You would have to hear the man talk .. it funny at first. He never heard from God like that and said no. The 3rd time he told the lord no the lord said then leave in her. That got him....no way could he do that. Put his fingers in her ears told it to leave in Jesus name.. first time she got to hear praise GOD glory to Jesus. All sickness if of the devil. There are times something needs to be cast out other times like Peter and John at the gate.. "why look at us as if we did this by our own power. That name faith in that name healed this man"

Nothing has changed. Demons sickness are not less and less. .They said to Christ have you come to torment us before out time? Yeah they knew this they had a time limit on this. I remember just reading and talking to the lord about this elderly man who could only moan but loved to hear the word of GOD. So I would read it and play it for him to hear. So I asked the lord.. you gave me this burden for him so I have a right to know why he is not being healed. He said "remember when Daniel prayed" I knew of this story but never read the OT at all at that time. No clue lol what it was. So I said..ok if this is you were is that written "Daniel 10:9-12" still blows me way... what He said was .. Satan has build hedge around him a simple pray will not work.

Fair enough Blain, as that focus is safely and constantly every believer's renewed mindset (Col 3:2). As for the Christian's call to be ''fully furnished'' to guide the flock, several, both translator and theologian likes to assign that responsibility to the Pastor / Priest / Elder only. Even further, that any 1Tim 5:20 corrections to be made are likewise to be assigned to the failures of Pastor / Priest / Elder only. But the end of that verse still includes the body as a whole so that interaction is experienced, ,

''But those sinning, rebuke before all, so that the rest might have fear as well.''

How could such a preparation not also include spiritual responsibilities to carry other's burdens from the body as a whole, ,

'', , you who are spiritual restore, ,'' (Gal 6:1)? Its no secret how this escapes responsibility with certain dogmas engrain widespread lax.
