Story of the 10 hand maids reflect this. Five of these departed from the faith.
The five who were not welcomed in didn't "depart from the faith"; rather, they didn't have genuine faith in the first place.

Actually Christ gave you a more or less chronological sequence of events in Matthew 24:1-31. Also the events of the first six seals of Revelation are presented in the Olivet Discourse (the temple was destroyed in 70 AD).

PAST AND PRESENT EVENTS
1. False messiahs began to appear quite soon after Revelation was completed.

2. Wars and rumors of wars have been ongoing since the time of Christ to the present day.

3. Famines, pestilences, and earthquakes have followed the same sequence.

4. The persecution of the apostles and Christians began immediately after the resurrection, and has continued to this day (the apostles excepted).

5. False prophets have appeared throughout history, and presently there are quite a few also.

6, Presently iniquity is abounding more than ever before. At the same time there is apostasy throughout Christendom, and the love of many has gone cold.

7. The Gospel of the Kingdom has not been preached biblically in all the nations, but one day it will be so.

FUTURE EVENTS
8. We are fast approaching the reign of the Antichrist and the setting up of the Abomination of Desolation.

9. That will trigger the Great Tribulation.

10. After that the cataclysmic cosmic events will take place.

11. Finally the world will see the Second Coming of Christ.

12. Following that He will send out His holy angels to gather the "elect" remnant of Israel.

All 10 gathered to meet the Lord! Says some were wise and some were foolish. If half didnt go looking elsewhere i would said all 10 would be taken. Sleep could be understood as a christian's death but not so in this story. I see this story being during the time the antichrist is rising in power from the time the AC takes his seat in the temple and the reaping of the earth in Rev 14.

You mean the ones with lamps, half of whom let their oil get low? They didn't depart the faith. they just faced a consequence for it.

I see them having been fulfilled in the first century. ;)
Well, ok, I'm not against these being fulfilled in 43 ad.

But I don't believe one act of fulfillment makes a prophesy moot. God's Word is eternal, and therefore echoes throughout time.

Ponder me this:

God offered the Messiah to the jews; they rejected Him and suffered their tribulation for it.

God then offers the Christ to the world. The world is rejecting Him, would it not suffer the same tribulation that the Jews saw?

I believe these scriptures did manifest in 43 ad.

And they will again ... if they're not already.

What if the 5 slackers were denied entrance into the wedding feast, while the other 5 entered? But all 10 are still saved.

I see what you are pondering but the understanding I have this happens during the Tribulation so your endtime viewpoint affects your thinking. Lord only coming one more time so I see these as those wondering if the antichrist is the messiah and leaving to see what all the turmoil is going on in Israel. The story line is about the jewish wedding story leading the bride to the Bridgegroom--- ( Christ ).

Regarding the 5 faithful and the 5 laggards, let me refer you to this page https://sites.google.com/view/whatwilltheendbelike/home , specifically the chapter of How Will We Be Judged

As for the questioned scriptures, well, I'm not going to share how I interpret them because that would then become the subject of the thread. And right now I want to know how others interpret them. But yeah I think you're not too far off.

Regarding the OP Question, "How do you see these scriptures being fulfilled?"

--1Timothy 4:1 and Romans 16:17 are speaking of when the Church which is His body (that's us) will still be existing on this earth (that is, in the here and now);

--whereas Matthew 24:4 / Mark 13:5 (and contexts) are speaking to the "proleptic 'you'" of that context (i.e. those to whom the promised and prophesied EARTHLY Millennial Kingdom was promised [i.e. believing Israel--the "proleptic 'you'" basically meaning, all those in the future OF THE SAME CATEGORY])

... and the fulfillment of this passage (Mt24:4 / Mk13:5 and following) takes place FOLLOWING "our Rapture," with the Matt24:4 / Mk13:5 "G5100 - tis - 'A CERTAIN ONE'" they are to BEWARE of (in particular, because there will be "MANY who come in My name, saying..." but ONE IN PARTICULAR they are to "BEWARE" of especially) who IS: the "whose COMING / ADVENT / ARRIVAL / PRESENCE / parousia" of the man of sin "IN HIS TIME" (i.e. the AC arriving at the START of the 7-yr Trib [aka SEAL #1]... AFTER "the Church which is His body" has been "SNATCHED [G726]" out of here).

... "And G1161 Jesus G2424 answering G611 them G846 began G756 to say, G3004 Take heed G991 lest G3361 any G5100 ['A CERTAIN ONE'] man deceive G4105 you: G5209 ["proleptic 'you'" and a "consistent 'you'"]

Hope that makes sense. :)

Not so. 5 were slothful. When they finally woke up to themselves, they sought restoration but it was too late. They miss out on the blessings given to those who put God's kingdom first and who are willing to deny themselves. There is great reward for those who are diligent. (Hebrews 10:35)

Many Christians start well, but fade away as time goes on. It is easy to get caught up in worldly matters, be discouraged, become complacent or cease to be active in their Christian lives. The new life that God gives the believer is eternal. And that life can never die. However, there are two sources of life within the believer, either the spirit, which is eternal and of God, or the soul life, which indeed will be left behind with the old body.

All is this is to do with placement in God's kingdom

"In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?" 'Rooms' is literally 'mansions'. Some will be given a tent, so to speak, while others will inherit a palace. And most of us something in between.

Christians do well to take this life seriously. It sets us up for eternity. "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose".

Well the first verse is being fulfilled by churches that push works salvation or prosperity doctrine to name just two types.. There are a lot of churches pushing a version of works salvation.. There are churches that deny the divinity of the LORD Jesus.. Many different kinds of cults masquerading as Christian but have their very own stumbling stone doctrine/ s to twist the Gospel just enough to render it to no effect for the person caught up in the false doctrine/s

As for the false Messiah's well i believe the greatest false messiah will be the anti-christ who will deceive many into thinking he is the promised Messiah and the returned Christ.. But there have been a number of people that have claimed to be Jesus or the Messiah and have deceived people in the past..

False prophets will eventually do great signs and lying wonders ""Miracles"" and many will see these miracles and think that viewing a miracle is firm confirmation from God that the supposed prophet is real and backed by God.. Of course the Bible gives us warning that in the end times God will allow this to happen so that those who hate His truth will be deceived and end up believing in the lie so that they will be condemned..

For anyone who trusts in miracles the next passage should immediately put an end to that state of mind::

(2 Thessalonians 2:8-12) "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: {9} Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, {10} And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. {11} And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: {12} That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

Let me see if I follow this....

Believers are 'raptured' at the start of the tribulation.

The AC appears at the start of the tribulation.

Believers believe the AC is the Christ and turn from their faith as a result of that.

No that does not make sense, so I must not be understanding what you are saying.

Can you rephrase it?

I see the Olivet discourse as being instruction to Israeli christians during the final 3.5 years beginning with the arrival of the false Prophet.

The false prophet
The many who come in jesus name are "christians ," who claim.to be annoited and decieve the people in into receiving the mark of the beast.

Then the saints in Israel who do not worship the beast ,its Image or recieve its mark are persecuted throughout Israel for their testimony.

Then the nation of Israel is overcome by its enemies and go into exile .The abomination of desolation is placed in Jerusalem.Christ comes and saves the saints that are alive and remain and resurrects his elect.

The entire kingdom is engulfed in fire from a nuclear war. The only people left in the middle east belong Christ.Evetyone else has suddenly been taken away like It was in the days of Noah

2 timothy 3:14 tells us:

14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of

Does this refer to the basics of Christian faith:

Love God
Love your neighbor
Stay away from idolatry
Be generous and giving
Do not love money
Treat workers fairly
Help the poor and sick
Welcome the foreigner
Be honest and true

And could the scriptures quoted in the op refer to Christians being led away from these things?
