The five who were not welcomed in didn't "depart from the faith"; rather, they didn't have genuine faith in the first place.Story of the 10 hand maids reflect this. Five of these departed from the faith.
I see them having been fulfilled in the first century.
Actually Christ gave you a more or less chronological sequence of events in Matthew 24:1-31. Also the events of the first six seals of Revelation are presented in the Olivet Discourse (the temple was destroyed in 70 AD).How do you see these scriptures being fulfilled?
The five who were not welcomed in didn't "depart from the faith"; rather, they didn't have genuine faith in the first place.
You mean the ones with lamps, half of whom let their oil get low? They didn't depart the faith. they just faced a consequence for it.Story of the 10 hand maids reflect this. Five of these departed from the faith.
Well, ok, I'm not against these being fulfilled in 43 ad.I see them having been fulfilled in the first century.![]()
All 10 gathered to meet the Lord! Says some were wise and some were foolish. If half didnt go looking elsewhere i would said all 10 would be taken. Sleep could be understood as a christian's death but not so in this story. I see this story being during the time the antichrist is rising in power from the time the AC takes his seat in the temple and the reaping of the earth in Rev 14.
What if the 5 slackers were denied entrance into the wedding feast, while the other 5 entered? But all 10 are still saved.
Regarding the 5 faithful and the 5 laggards, let me refer you to this page https://sites.google.com/view/whatwilltheendbelike/home , specifically the chapter of How Will We Be JudgedI see what you are pondering but the understanding I have this happens during the Tribulation so your endtime viewpoint affects your thinking. Lord only coming one more time so I see these as those wondering if the antichrist is the messiah and leaving to see what all the turmoil is going on in Israel. The story line is about the jewish wedding story leading the bride to the Bridgegroom--- ( Christ ).
Not so. 5 were slothful. When they finally woke up to themselves, they sought restoration but it was too late. They miss out on the blessings given to those who put God's kingdom first and who are willing to deny themselves. There is great reward for those who are diligent. (Hebrews 10:35)Story of the 10 hand maids reflect this. Five of these departed from the faith.
Let me see if I follow this....Regarding the OP Question, "How do you see these scriptures being fulfilled?"
--1Timothy 4:1 and Romans 16:17 are speaking of when the Church which is His body (that's us) will still be existing on this earth (that is, in the here and now);
--whereas Matthew 24:4 / Mark 13:5 (and contexts) are speaking to the "proleptic 'you'" of that context (i.e. those to whom the promised and prophesied EARTHLY Millennial Kingdom was promised [i.e. believing Israel--the "proleptic 'you'" basically meaning, all those in the future OF THE SAME CATEGORY])
... and the fulfillment of this passage (Mt24:4 / Mk13:5 and following) takes place FOLLOWING "our Rapture," with the Matt24:4 / Mk13:5 "G5100 - tis - 'A CERTAIN ONE'" they are to BEWARE of (in particular, because there will be "MANY who come in My name, saying..." but ONE IN PARTICULAR they are to "BEWARE" of especially) who IS: the "whose COMING / ADVENT / ARRIVAL / PRESENCE / parousia" of the man of sin "IN HIS TIME" (i.e. the AC arriving at the START of the 7-yr Trib [aka SEAL #1]... AFTER "the Church which is His body" has been "SNATCHED [G726]" out of here).
... "And G1161 Jesus G2424 answering G611 them G846 began G756 to say, G3004 Take heed G991 lest G3361 any G5100 ['A CERTAIN ONE'] man deceive G4105 you: G5209 ["proleptic 'you'" and a "consistent 'you'"]
Hope that makes sense.![]()
