Ah, you never can be too careful! Even spelling THAT WORD correctly could invite the eeeeeevil spirits! Best to be on the safe side.

Okay I misspelled it. I'm on a little bluetooth keyboard with those stupid chiclet keys. Gimme a break.

I had a conversation with someone once that told me all the days of the week were pagan as well as the holidays. I was told when I pick up a gift from under the Christmas tree that I am bowing to and worshipping the tree. Eventually they freaked on me because of something I believed that they didn't agree with and told me "Get behind me Satan!"

It was really weird!

But I no longer celebrate anything! 🤪🤣

 do you mean:
"Uranus"?

The Romans named the five planets closest to the Sun after their most important gods. ... Astronomers decided to continue naming the planets after Roman Gods with one exception - Uranus. Uranus was named after the Greek god of the sky. According to myth, he was the father of Saturn and the grandfather of Jupiter. source: Wikipedia

The Greek of Jupiter is Zues. Pluto is Hades in Greek.

Regarding the OP, I believe we can keep holidays like Thanksgiving as long as we don't use the pagan origins or thoughts. I always thought Thanksgiving was our being thankful to God. I don't participate in Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Valentines Day. I do observe Passover instead of Easter (The modern English term Easter, cognate with modern Dutch ooster and German Ostern, developed from an Old English word that usually appears in the form Ēastrun).

URANUS:

(makes for great laughs to drive by and see the signs  )

um... @Lynx ... how many pagan holiday threads ARE there?
They sure ain't as popular as they used to be. Back in the day we could count on a good crop every season. Now we only see two or three sprout up every year.

There’s something very wrong here!

Well don't just sit there. Start an advocacy group or something.

The Lone Star Christmas is not Pagan Project is already in session. I’m the acting chairwoman, and sole member of the group. I expect people to join by the millions the next few minutes.

Probably been 20 years or so since I quit observing the day of Christmas. Christians are observing an idol who tell their children whether they been good or bad, an all knowing god. What makes it worse is we lie to our children

Howdy Omega-3 and welcome to the farce side.

This thread was started as a parody. A joke. It's not serious.

I mean... You are of course free to post anti-Christmas comments if you want. But please understand that we will be fundamentally incapable of taking you seriously.

That really should have more exclamation points, that thread title, but there is only limited space in the thread title slot...

This thread is for all the discussion about (insert holiday) being pagan. Let's get this over with before my egg nog gets cold.

HALLOWEEN IS PAGAN! It is a celebration of death, witchcraft and everything demonic, and if you so much as buy a candy bar in the month of October you are going to hell!

THANKSGIVING IS PAGAN! It was started by Native Americans who believe in all kinds of nature gods. Don't even look at the frozen turkeys at the supermarket until we are safely in December, or your soul could be in jeopardy!

CHRISTMAS IS PAGAN! Jesus wasn't born on December 25th and we can prove it, and to be safe you should avoid getting within 30 feet of any evergreen trees until the new year. We don't want the unwashed masses to be confused about our stance against tree worship.

Let's see... did I miss anything? I know there's Valentine's and Easter, but we'll do another run when they get closer. And we'll probably be too drunk to even post anything about St. Patrick's Day.
Seriously I like celebrating Christmas, Easter, I don't know about valentine because I'm single. I can eat candy during Halloween but I can never celebrate it. What does it mean to celebrate the death? They are death and are either in heaven or hell. No need to celebrate them. However we can hold on to the memories we had with them.

I am not american but pleading the 5th on this thread seems like a good idea lol
