i wont lie to you my friend i am alittle scared but i am adapting to the fact i have one.they have started me on meds which to be fair have improved my condition alot.its adapting to a new diet.smaller portions healthier.they only operate here if the meds dont improve your condition.I had a stomach wrap procedure done to correct a small hiatal hernia. The anesthesiologist forgot to give me anti-nausea medicine as requested when I was getting woke up and convulsions from the nausea ripped apart the work the new surgeon had done. This was the surgeon's first procedure on his own and he didn't think to get an image to see if the convulsions had done any harm to the surgery.
Years later I had another stomach wrap to repair a massive hiatal hernia that had resulted from the first one being torn up when they woke me up. The bigger issue is I've had severe acid reflux for decades now and I almost have no voice due to acid damage to the voice box. I sound similar to RFK Jr when I talk.

thanks for replying Tall_Timbers.Recovery from that surgery was easy. They did it in a way that wasn't very invasive.
did you change your diet?I've taken meds for decades... don't know if they've actually helped or not, but I keep taking them.
did you change your diet?
thanks for your input my friend.No. In my case I don't think it would have mattered. They did all kinds of tests on me but were never able to figure out what was causing my reflux. They suspected an autoimmune disease, which to date has never been diagnosed. I do have something called episcleritis which in my case has been recurring over the decades. That can be caused by an autoimmune issue. Lucky for me I rarely experience the uncomfortable symptoms of reflux. Don't know why, but I count myself fortunate in that way.
