A fine welcome to you, brother Mike!
I was born in 6 of 67.

So glad you are attracted to the Bible. That is God's doing. He is calling to you.

Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Just open the door. You can be sure. He wants you to be. Just step out in faith and surrender to Him. He died on the cross so you can do this.

God bless you, dear brother.

Thanks! I want to be honest and say I haven't actually finished the New Testament. I am almost finished on the Old Testament and will move onto the New Testament afterwards. I am currently on Wisdom right now, and it's going really well! I would love to discuss some stories in the Bible, preferably ones in the Old Testament.

Some of my fave stories in the Bible come from Genesis... from Jacob and Esau right into Exodus :D

I love Genesis! It really sets the foundation for the entire Bible and really goes into the foundation of the Israelites! I love the stories of Abraham, Issac, Jacob and the twelve tribes of Israel!

Cool! I haven't really started on the New Testament yet, so I am not familiar with Jesus at the moment. I plan on getting there by next month! I have gotten really far into the Old Testament, so I am sure I'll get there soon!

Translation? What is that supposed to mean?

Well simply put, the Bible has it's original languages for the OT & NT, that then get translated into different languages for different peoples. The objective is staying as close to the original text as possible.
Some Books of the Bible didn't make the 'authorized' version and are called apocrypha meaning unverified or questionable authorship. The Book of Wisdom's author is unknown.

Oh, I see. It would be difficult to determine the source of all of these books. It's too bad, because I love every one so far!
