We've discussed various mindsets of people looking for a partner on this site many times.
One thing we've found is that most women will not respond to someone who's throwing the net behind the boat to catch someone. They want someone that has an Interest in Them. Not be part of the fish you brought in on the nets to sift through till you find one you like and discarding the rest who were waiting to be picked.
You may not have intended this but it is, basically, what you said.
You want the women to come to you with a hope of romance and have to compete for your attention.
Also 'please give me a chance' sounds desperate, another big turn off among the women who were in these discussions. Men are usually not fans of this, either.
Please note I'm not trying to put you down. You very well may be a great guy and make a great husband. Rather I'm offering you advice on how to better approach the idea of finding someone. And revealing to you how you come across.
As someone whose been in your position, but is older now, I can tell you from experience, don't get hung up on finding someone, especially when you're younger.
Rather take your time as a single to grow and mature spiritually. This will improve your walk, and also you'll be in a better place to be a husband, and father, if and when you meet someone.
I always found it better to let relationships come from a friendship first. That way your relationship will be founded on friendship. It also allows you to get to know each other in a more relaxed and more natural setting.
Read some books on being a husband, and father if that's what you're looking for. I don't know any off hand but I'm sure someone here can suggest some.
Anyways, hope this helps. Stick around the site and make friends. Maybe start some threads on subjects you may be unsure of. People will try to help. Or fun threads or whatever you want. And if one day you meet someone here, then you'll be in a better place, for them, and yourself.
