Hi everyone! My name is Ashley. I’m looking to find fellowship. I do belong to a church but connections are still a struggle. I’m looking to seek Gods righteousness first, set my eyes on things above rather than the things of the world, which is very hard. I feel constantly distracted and struggling to stay rooted in the truth.
Thanks all! Ashley

Hi, glad you're here. I like your approach of seeking Him first; hard to go wrong if you do that.

I am sure that you will find ample opportunity for fellowship on this site. From your post I would say that you are on the right spiritual track. Glad to have you join us Ashley. Welcome to CC.

I’d like to also find some accountability to read scripture in the evening. I get tripped up in negative thinking and doom scrolling during that time especially. Not sure if anyone does anything like that around here.

Hi ashmjack42, happy you are joining the CC fellowship! I watch the 1 yr Bible on YT every day plus a few other Christian shows. Have fun browsing the Forums and think about starting a Thread of your own and ask for an accountability partner. God bless & keep you🌹🙏✝✡

In today's restless world, a conscious recognition of God's presence is not
an easy task, given the worldliness that prevails, and sadly, this includes the Christian atmosphere.

Welcome, Ashley. Yes, it is a constant struggle to stay anchored in the Word and not get drug down by the negative news or the day-to-day trappings. I can totally relate to your other comment regarding getting caught up in the "doom scrolling."
