I'm a 49yo guy recently end a 25+yr r'ship just taking things day by day here
Something I learnt during all this
When people stop taking their meds it can be really bad
All sorts of things from before you came along might come up
It probably wasn't all your fault
But you want to be like the suffering servant in Isaiah ch.53
"Like a lamb open not your mouth before your accuser.."
That kind of thing..
Because if you've been reading your proverbs
You'll see how someone can prey on your life
The worst thing is when they are completely given over
Given over to the beasts of the field
They will seek to figuratively crucify and destroy you
As the scriptures describe
Thank you Jesus

Be good to one another
Be good to the people in your life
Appreciate sanity especially in others
Always pray, never stop taking with God

Currently typing from rainy NSW
Hope you are well down there

Went to church today, little visit in afternoon & again for evening service
Still new there taking things slow but managed to wrangle making a pot of pea & ham soup for next sunday
Mental note: prattle on endlessly about pea & ham soup in elderly thread
Taking it all one day at a time, catching up on months backlog of housewives (thanks autoprompt, that's a keeper) housework
Cripes, the indignation of that particular Freudian autoslip
We'll have to invent a word for that

When I was in high school would mercilessly taunt my friend's father (good Christian bloke) job 38:31(?) Sir, what is the sweet influence of the Pleiades? What are the bands of Orion?
...over the years I heard many people's thoughts on it
Some not to shabby
I can't remember how long now it hasn't mattered so much anymore
Or when I stopped taunting people
(I still taunt folks now and then haaaaaaa)
I just remember the thing
After all this time
Still got the guy's home phone number some 30+ years later
Just been getting the answering machine lately
Mental note: taunt elderly thread about answering machines & rotary dial phones, taunt elderly thread about Robert Frost, et al

Looking forward to building entertainment area in yard

Yes, thanks for mentioning it, I use that also
Seems to be the most accessible & without ads, good layout etc

Rain let up, sat around a little fire in the backyard
One of the cats kept me company
One I had to jump the neighbour's fence to rescue
"Rubs", that one is named
When it was little it jumped in my lap
"Hello, who are you?", I laughed
Then it went sideways and rubbed me
They kinda named people like that in Bible times
Something would happen, and the newborn got a relevant name
One could've been called heel-scratcher

So.. it takes about a week to move on
Knowing The Bible, knowing Jesus Christ
These things certainly help

I saw a DVD player trying to swim at the bottom of a pool
I saw an old laptop broken
Saw many useless things
To paraphrase a proverb
The wise man sees danger coming and gets his desired stuff outta the house
Hehe

And I think there's no point pursuing any kind of relationship with someone who doesn't want to participate properly.. a relationship is like a garden, it is said..

Well, the weather is great today
Able to resume work in yard
Truly a day The Lord made
Rejoicing & giving thanks in Australia
Amazing to work in a house and yard
