1 John 4
4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Well of course there is hope for you, not a one of us is perfect! We are called to follow Jesus and serve God with the help of the Holy Spirit, but we still stumble sometimes as we are learning and growing in Christ. Praise be to God for his Ever Loving Grace upon us all.
Day by day, moment by moment, read the bible, be still and listen to his voice within you.
God is carrying you in the palm of his hand, Be Still and Know that He is God.
It was nice to hear your humility as you entered into this place. Listen to what people say, but bounce it off his word and that knowing he places in your heart, what he tells you. You are on the path, just keep following him. When you see yourself getting side tracked, get back on the path. Ask for his help, and he is Faithful to be there for you.

I have learned over a long period of time, it was I that needed to apply God's love and wisdom
upon my own life, and it requires daily spiritual 'awareness' of God's 'principles' of life, here in the now.
I hope and pray you find what is needed in your life...I found a 'friend' in God....
