-You have a sentence already that can be included in the introduction.
-Then I would narrow down the topic and give it clear direction with a main subject.
-You might have been given a format, so use that and the following steps will help too.
-Ask God to help you.
-I would write down a simple outline.
-Have an introduction to let the reader know what to expect.
-Jot down your thoughts, quotes, etc. separated by paragraphs or hyphen marks like I did.
-Organize the paragraphs, quotes, etc so they make logical sense to the reader.
-Proof read it several times and make necessary changes.
-Ask an adult in the family to proof read it and offer suggestions.
-Get it done early and come back to it the next day to see it afresh.
-Try to see it as an opportunity to share a blessing, just like you do here, and you will please the Lord. This will help it to be a joy rather than a chore.
It can also help to think of it personally and how Christian music has helped yourself and others through hardships. You told us of some major hardships you've been through and others like myself can relate.
I think of this because I lost my family, but hope to see them in heaven because of what Christ did for us.

The teacher and students who go to church are going to be mostly familiar with traditional hymns in our song books. Christians have sung Psalms since God inspired them. There are two more categories of songs He tells us to sing too. I will include a Baptist church service from Arizona, USA on the topic.

Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs
I have song books with contemporary songs, children's music and my favorites are the old ones, some of which are from the 1700s! They are so good that they are still popular and sung every week for hundreds of years.
That alone would be a major topic that few would realize, but be amazed about.
It could be titled something like, "The Rich Heritage of Christian Hymns," then an example or two could be given of a few lines and the history behind the lyrics.
There are many stories behind the songs and writers, especially the oldest ones. Choose what you want, but here's just an example of one song that touches my heart. If you want to, feel free to use these as sources and any Bible verses in the sermon. Give credit with quotes you choose or rewrite any points of interest.

1. Comfort in the midst of trials and suffering
2&3. Assurance of salvation through the sacrifice of Christ.
4. We look forward to the return of our Lord.
