A number of our members have failing eyes for one reason or another, and I know you can set
a dark background through your browser (that may depend on the specific browser options, also),
but I do not know if it affects how CC displays. User2User tech support may garner you some help
from other members, but the platform would most likely not under any circumstances be able to
accommodate such a change, or so I have seen it said time and time again, concerning all manner
of other issues, requests, and suggestions. Have you ever tried any text-to-speech software/apps?
They also work in the reverse, where you can talk into your device and the app does the typing.

Hmmm. I looked and did find a dark theme for my browser. Regrettably it didn't affect this forum.

i used to run forums years ago. They used to have the option to make multiple themes available for individual use. Thus the current them wouldn’t change, but an individual user could change how they see the forum.

dunno if its doable in this one tho.

The site has no dark theme. The software the site is built on doesn't allow a lot of customization, so not likely they can add one.
You'd have to find add ons specific to your browser that has a dark theme. I use Firefox and have a dark mode for my browser, that works on this site.

Hello Seddrik, welcome to CChat! We're glad that you found us and that you've joined in the discussions with us :)

Like @Subhumanoidal, the browser that I typically use for this place (Microsoft Edge) can be set in dark background mode by clicking on the three horizontal dots (on the top/far right side of the browser) > Settings > Appearance > Overall Appearance > Dark.

Also (in case you do not already know) you can increase the size of your fonts by clicking the "Ctrl and +" keys on your keyboard ("Ctrl and -" keys reduce the size instead, just FYI).

God bless you!!

1 Thessalonians 5
23 May the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body
be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

Welcome, brother Seddrik! :)(y):coffee:

I don't know. I have to keep adjusting the screen angle myself. Have to take a break every little while. :geek:
