Earlier, I replied to this thread with 9 simple verses that in my opinion prove God does speak to those that will seek Him and find Him for themselves. I can say it would have been just as easy to
fill another 5 walls with scripture that prove the 9 simple verses as well. I also realize it's not up to me to find God for you or anyone else. I say that with certainty, none could for me either, as also, the Bible points it out. As it so happens, I will conclude this wall with 9 simple words...

SEEK YE THE LORD WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND

A movie came out in 2010 titled INCEPTION starring Leonardo Dicaprio that
I thoroughly enjoyed, but it gave me the shivers too because I've no doubt
the sinister spirit beings that inhabit our world right alongside us have been,
all along, planting things in people's subconscious so secretly and so
masterfully that their victims never suspect they've been hit

You guys be cautious out there. The dark side of this world has centuries of
experience under its belt imitating God's voice in people's heads and by now
they're accomplished experts at it. Don't ever assume that you and they are
equally matched because you're not.

God has more experience and He can speak audibly when it suits Him.

I seriously doubt that you yourself have accumulated sufficient experience to
tell the difference between God's actual voice and that of the dark world
imitating His voice. Their stock in trade is deception, and they are very good
at it.

One indefatigable difference would be: the voice of God leads one to Christ.

Can you say the same of Satan's minions?

All this talk of demons saying they are God :rolleyes:

When God speaks, His sheep recognize His voice.

I'm actually aware of that and don't take it lightly. I've been trained for a while. Big thing is to know the Bible and know it well. Like Jesus in the wilderness with the devil, he quoted scripture to try to tempt Jesus. I know the devil knows the Bible, but the devil doesn't lead people to Christ or help them walk in the Spirit.

It's very possible for folks to be led to a trick Christ, and be helped to walk
in the path of a spirit highly skilled at imitating God's spirit. Outstanding
examples are Seventh Day Adventism and the Jehovah's Witnesses.

The deception to be concerned about is a bit more sophisticated: subtle and
impossible to resist when the enemy is your own mind working against you
without your being aware of it like in Leonardo DiCaprio's movie: INCEPTION.

Must apply to you, since you have not heard the Master's voice... :cry:

On the other hand... Lazarus was DEAD and yet heard and responded to his Master's voice.

Bottom line: His sheep hear His voice. You deny it.

Your concern is well warranted because people are given to excess. But you have heard God's voice. Every time you have read His word you have heard it. Every time a new and fuller understanding of a passage of scripture is made known to you it was His voice. Every time you have heard a sermon and had truth discovered to you it was God who spoke.
This is the voice that most here are referring to. And these things are so because hearing you understand and seeing you perceive.

I wouldn’t take him too seriously because I don’t think he is able to follow a train of thought, either on purpose or because of some other health related issue. May God guide him on his path.

Is there anybody in this forum who thinks that reality and your mind are two different things?

Thank you ! Yes, I agree with you and that makes sense logically And it’s also proven scientifically.
‘I’m just wondering if there is anyone here who thinks that what we see in reality is a figment of our imaginations.
I would like to see their reasoning that’s all.

When I was 'employed' by JPL, a co-employee, would solicit me to read L. Ron Hubbards' material. Many years later at an AA meeting I would discuss some ideas with a fellow AAer and he showed me a copy of a scientology magazine which was incomprehensible to me. I recall his fascination/obsession with something he referred to as channel 1. 'Men in Black' one of few movies I have watched. Enjoyed it as it is able to make me LOL....LOL....LOL

It does get very convoluted and seems to hang on yes- a contradiction, much like an atheist saying everything comes from nothing, since nothing cannot create something, and the beliefs promoting maya say nothing really exists, since everything that an individual experiences can be presented as a chain of transient combinations, making the continuity of the observable existence just an illusion.

Seems to me there is reference in the Bible that there was 'wisdom' from the East. They sure went down the sewer. I remember even here in US the 'guru' with all the Rolls Royce's. Finally deported I think. I have also had some personal involvement with people espousing eastern philosophy.
