It seems that there is a distraction from the things of God among His people, especially His love when it comes to each other. A loss of Godly affection, true brotherly love, the caring for others and any anguish and contrition for harming one another and forgetting what we have been given, to love your neighbor.

Instead Christians, have turned into the type of person who is beyond experiencing guilt, shame, or regret for their terrible actions against others, because they loose Godly affection and all they care about is themselves and nobody else.. They have become ‘remorseless', and 'uncaring', with only the things of self.

They form a character defined by narcissism with an exaggerated sense of self-importance, looking for others to focus on them and give them worldly 'praise' and 'honor'. Many forget what God in His Word tells us...

1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

2 Timothy 2:24-25
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

the only christians i know are my best friend and our church community.theres genuine affection for others there.its difficult to really know a person through a computer screen,which can sometimes lead to a misunderstanding.i generally like most people here on this forum.i know what you mean though.i pray people find a way.

On the forums, I think it's in large part the dynamics of the media and how it brings to the surface the realities of the denominational divisions that exist, provides open access to a mix of false believers and believers of various states of growth, and beyond this, as you note, all kinds of personalities and disorders. Face-to-face interactions are for the most part entirely different, so far at least.

Go into a new church and see what you find especially in the the young people who rarely pull their gaze away to even think on doing good for others, as they check to see what the 'latest' is in fashion, fads, or face creams to say the least.....

I am sending a heart felt response to the question as I recently been very humbled in all that I understand, as the evil one has caught me in a trap ( as I understand things).

if we do not love Christians & or our neighbour, we do not truly love G-D because loving our neighbour is systemic with loving G-D.

for the bible says
How can we love G-D who we have not seen, if we love not our neighbour who we have seen.

G-D is love we are to be ambassadors of HIS LOVE in JESUS

the 1st part I wrote only to say I am very humbled and of a contrite spirit and I think this has made me sensitive to the words rather than just glossing over them as I usually do. As I said I have been arrogant and I believe caught in a very serious trap of the evil one that I did not see coming.

to love you is to warn you, keep on guard my brothers & sisters, I truly thought that this would never happen to me, as I was looking to be an example of G-DS LIGHT in this world and I have been knocked down hard.

engaging in the flesh (Egypt, or being harsh towards fellow Christians is simply engaging the self, and the flesh) and is in the land of death, the devils domain, in good faith) we are to be Led by G-D precious Spirit in word & deed.

fyi
basically I went into Egypt and purchased some land and set up a settlement ( with a 5 year contract) that I had no business getting involved in, as I had a cozy little booth in the desert that JESUS was blessing.

in good faith & in love (I hope), more I believe since I have been humbled

You exaggerate the issue. It is very difficult to convey attitude through a keyboard. It is very easy to misunderstand motives. Some, by their obvious aggression, do display less than Christlike attitudes.

Not everyone who claims to be Christian is in fact born again. I assume that they are until they demonstrate otherwise. The answer is found in 1 John 3:14:
"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death."

Sometimes it is necessary to speak out on some issues. Paul rebuked the Corinthians and the Galatians. He rebuked the Apostle Peter when Peter compromised with religious Jews.

I cannot argue with scripture, that said... it must say somewhere born again Christians do not always live up to our godly standard. so I just might add, and I am sure as any season Christian would agree. Born again Christians are quite cable of acting in the flesh and not in love.

only to say, my lashing out of at a fellow Christian may be an indicator that I am not born again, however it also maybe that as a born again Christian I was yielding to the flesh in that particular situation. So it may not always be so easy to proclaim false Christians, by one displaying a few bad apples within our character.

for if you look for the fault in man, surely you will find it!

also growth comes in different waves I find, although I maybe more advanced in certain areas of my Christian walk, some aspects often lag behind or resurface...... like pride, and arrogance, it seems I need to be often pounding these two in regular submission, as my arrogance can certainly lead to unwanted conflict with fellow brothers & sisters in CHRIST, to which I certainly hope to repent of

but I could not agree more with your statement of Christians needing to displaying love to our brothers.

in peace & love

Unfortunately, that does still happen. I see to stand in trust to God to get me through it all.No matter how it might look
To go through adversities here on earth first and still stand in belief to God in risen Son for us all, can be not easy at all
I see what Job went through in the book of Job. Trouble city, as Satan challenged God, if you allow troubles to Job, there I bet Job will curse you? And job did not

I see Job not deny God at all. Job 2:10. that the troubles there then, got to his wife. I know we all go or have gone through and might again go through troubles here on earth. We each get to decide to continue beleif to God no matter what happened or not. It seems whenever going through any trouble, one, many not all, will accept, not reject and stand in trust to God to get through it all as worth going through it, once see it by not quitting.
See that last Chapter of Job, Amazing, then see the risen Jesus, Father reveals to each person that are willing to go through troubles too, toes truth and not deny God through any and all adversities,
Therefore I say believe, stand and see
Col 1:21-23

I believe you're onto something. Brother love is called charity. I stand guilty, often.

1 Corinthians 13:
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

the law of averages says, yes! besides that, a Christian can lose true love for another in at least a couple of ways. while sisterly & brotherly love remain, a Christian can lose friendship love for another by not calling or texting anymore & simply breaking off a relationship because of an occurrence of dissension.
