I understand that maybe you live in an area that still utilizes horses as transportation -- are you able to find work in those communities?

For everyone else, the modern use of horses would be impossible to use on a large scale.

Even just for recreation, I've lived in more than one area where horse stables go out of business because people don't realize how much work and expense goes into owning a horse. You can't just shut it when you're at work, or for the night, like with a car.

Most people don't have the proper land and facilities to keep them healthy, and the boarders go out of business because many find out they can't afford to keep their horses.
Thats the problem, I don't live in a town where horses are still in use, I am aware of the work that goes into it, I spent 3 months in a mennonite community. But the asset is that you don't need a license to drive a horse and buggy. Thats the problem the more people rely on technology the lazier people become

I recently learned that the more that you do things that what you don't want to do, the more a certain part of brain, which directly effects the level of intelligence, grows. So, there is a bit of irony in the effects of the advancement of technology.

Then you definitely would not be able to afford or have room to store a horse.
I am aware of that. I am saying that if society as a whole lived the way they did 100 years ago or more, we would all be better off.

Oh...

Yeah, no, that's never going to happen.

I thought you were saying you personally wanted to be able to get to work and back on a horse.

Back to the topic of work transit, if you can't afford an electric bicycle or have space for it, you definitely won't be able to afford a car or have space for it, even if you did have a driver's license.

Assuming they did give you a job without a driver's license, how would you get to work? Getting a friend or relative to take you would only last so long...

By the way, I do understand the frustration. When I was a teenager I ran into the same problem. You can't get a car without a job, and you can't get a job without some way to get to it. So you need money to get the car, but you need the car to get the money.

I never heard of that. Where did you learn that from? That certainly is interesting.
I do have some doubt to it's legitamicy though, The brain is a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets.

I know, well if I could get rid of all my possessions then I could pursue membership in a Mennonite church. But having lost all my possessions before I hesitate wanting to give them up unless I knew for sure the membership would work out.

I know, this is why I hate my parents, their failure to do their job as parents has led me to a situation that I don't want to be in. I don't have friends or family where I live. Thats why I have been working on a business plan, and trying to find grants and loans to start a business. That is why I am praying for 40 million dollars to start a business. I am running out of options in terms of employment and if I stay on ODSP then my weight continues to increase, based on my medical file I went from 300 lbs in 2003 to 439 lbs last last week.
an increase of 139 lbs in 21 years, another 20 years I will hit 578 lbs and 40 years I will hit 717 lbs. This is if I stay on Social Assistance. I don't know how to fix my life and I know I can't do it on my own. Plus I have to start from nothing with morbid obesity at middle age and in a country where no one wants me anyway.

I tune in to a lot of interesting speakers on various topics, so I can't be absolutely specific about exactly where other than vaguely, Jordan Peterson, I think maybe.

I thought trying out a Christian chat site would be a nice change. I have met some nice people on here. i don't agree with everything but overall, the people on this site are encouraging. But in general, many of us Christian walk a lonely path as it's hard to make friends. I often think of king David and how he only had one true friend Jonathan. But we have plenty of books of Christian from the past to occupy us in our journey.
Yeah studying the Bible can be comforting
