I'm just curious to know. Is there any scripture that lets us know.
The 'idea' or 'concept' of 'always' as you ask would equate with 'eternal' as the KJV uses. The KJV records the word 'eternal' 47 times, and a few times are in direct reference to God. Here is a web dictionary definition of eternal>>>>>>>lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning:>>>>>>>>> Many of the 47 recorded instances of eternal inform of 'eternal life' or in possibly only one instance 'eternal fire'.
My take is, The Eternal God being able to offer to man eternal life is also indicating that His existence is 'eternal'. So the verses referring to 'eternal life' verify that God has '
always' existed. Eternity is not easy for us to understand and the only way I know to even begin to have an idea of eternity is with numbers. Any number that can be recorded in any way, can always be increased by adding 1.
A meditation on the possibilty of reaching the end of the universe and then moving beyond is also interesting. Theories of multiple universes also can give some 'realization' of 'eternal'. My take is we can't truly 'realize' the idea of 'eternal' and The Eternal God with our 'mundane' way of thinking. I went on a bit but need it for myself too and the understanding that 'faith' is the requisite for understanding the Bible.
