I doubt Jesus is going to set up his kingdom in a tent. Yes they have a tabernacle (tent) set up. But their goal is the temple. which all it will take is a swipe of a pen and it will be built.
Jesus has spent the last two thousand years building his church. Do you really think that a building that the Jews build to sacrifice sheep and bulls and goats is going to be the basis of the kingdom?

Even if they did build a temple it would be total insult to the sacrifice Jesus made and so the Bible would record God destroying that temple.

Ephesians tells us that the church is the temple of God and that Jesus is the cornerstone joining Jews and Gentiles.

That is the point, not only is there no verse in the Bible saying they will build a third temple, but there are many verses saying that Jesus builds the third temple and it is definitely not to sacrifice sheep, bulls and goats.

What does this have to do with what he said he will do?

When God says somethign will happen. I tend not to question why or what reason. I just take him at his word.

Again, if there is not temple there is no holy place. and hence no world leader can place an idol that the whole world can see. which Jesus said, when you see it, run, for then their will be great tribulation.

Even if they did build a temple it would be total insult to the sacrifice Jesus made and so the Bible would record God destroying that temple.
Yes it would. but that is not going to stop it from being built. Jesus said it will be built. I will just take him at his word. he knows best.

Ephesians tells us that the church is the temple of God and that Jesus is the cornerstone joining Jews and Gentiles.
Jesus said it will be built.. and he will return to earth and rule from that temple.

If you want to say this will not happen. Well i will have to disagree

That is the point, not only is there no verse in the Bible saying they will build a third temple, but there are many verses saying that Jesus builds the third temple and it is definitely not to sacrifice sheep, bulls and goats.
Well actually there is. But if you do not want to see it you never will.

ez 37: 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 28 The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.” ’ ”

again, do you think this will be a tent. or is it the house God promised David he would set his son to rule from?

It seems odd that Jesus' eternal kingdom is being built, but His earthly kingdom is not.

Agree. That doesn't mean it's not in this world. The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ. Every time another soul is saved, more of the kingdoms of this world becomes a part of the kingdom of God.

Yes, Agree.

But the word says he will rule with a rod of iron for a thousand years. we can not discount that. it says he will rule in Jerusalem. and familie sof the world who do not come to him and worship will be punished. we can not discount that.

True --

Amos 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

We saw already armies surrounding Jerusalem. And your insinuation is noted but ill made.

You need to read.

It does not say armies. It says when you see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place.

That has not happened yet. to this day.

My insinuation stands..

That verse does not say they will rebuild the temple, that could easily be referring to the tabernacle of David being raised again.

There was a holy place in the tabernacle of David. There is no verse saying the temple will be built for the third time other than the reference in Ezekiel which appears to be a reference to the New Jerusalem which descends after the millennial kingdom.

It is a very big difference, you could hear tomorrow that the tabernacle has been raised whereas to build the temple would likely take more than a year and possibly a decade.

is there a temple on that day or not?

I am confused about your argument. How does God raise thing up? H

The tabernacle of david is not standing. Jesus said that those alive will see this abomination of desolation standing in the holy place. You will have to forgive me, But I do not think some idle standing in some tent is going to cause a stir.

They already have the money and the resources to rebuild the temple. All they need is the place. and in todays standards. they could build it quite quickly.,

Also. you have to remember, there is the 1st 3.5 years of daniels 70th week. they could easily build a temple in this time period.. The AOD does not happen until the middle of the week.

Perhaps you should read Luke 21:20-24. We know the desolation takes place when Jerusalem is surrounded by armies. Has Jerusalem been surrounded by armies?

The tabernacle of David is the tent they used in the wilderness. They could raise it in a day. They have already gathered all the instruments of the Holy Place that would go inside.

I read luke. Luke is Jesus answering the 1st of three questions. When will this take place.. (when will not one stone be left standing)

In Matt 24. He is not answering that question. that is why he did nto mention the armies. because in Matts events. there will be no armies surrounding the city..

He is answering the other questions. when will the sign of your coming be. Remember. Jesus said when you see this idol in the holy place. there will be great tribulation. so great no flesh would survive (not even possible until the advent of nuclear technology) and immediately after the tribulations of those days he will return. in essence putting and end to tribulation before mankind wipes all life off the planet.

You need to think of context more
