I like it fine, but after having a couple full-size pistols, I'd rather just have a full-sized, steel framed pistol. I'd take a IWI Jericho instead if I could find a steel frame one for a decent price.
 
Eh, love the steel framed guns. So pretty... I could decorate the walls of my room with them. ^.^ They're usually annoyingly more expensive than the polymer, though, at least from what I've seen shopping around the places here.
 
I like the steel guns for shooting, but for carry, the polymers are so much lighter...

I might end up with another AR today... a semi-local gun shop has them for $399, if you buy 500 rounds of ammo for $200.. I'm trying to decide "why not"...other than the money, of course. I'm sure my wife will make the decision for me, since it is ostensibly for her...
 
Ah... well, no new AR for me...um, her. We decided not to, at this point. They were nice AR's, but we simply cannot justify another one at this point.

Sigh....

Don't know if any of you remember this show but it was one of my all time favorites. Never was into hunting myself as I more more of a hiker.

That's funny. I'm such a millennial in that I was born into the world of polymer composite firearms. They're what I would bet my life on if I ever need them.

Not really. I like the less-is-more approach to my black gun. I have a scope on the flat top rail, and a 5-slot rail at the muzzle end for my bipod. That's it.
 
Yes, we have several very gun-friendly young ladies on here....

If I was not married..... and, well.... about 40 years younger...:rolleyes:

Seriously, it warms my heart to see young people, ESPECIALLY girls who are so well versed in our rights, and responsibilities as American citizens..

You young guys rock, too..... (they're just cuter)

I've got a coming-of-age story involving Curt Gowdy State Park just outside the town limits of Casper, Wyoming. It's entirely inappropriate for the forums, but I have a story nonetheless.

I'm pretty much the same way. I want a decent shorter-range optic that's useful in low light environments. I also have a vertical front grip. Not planning anything else currently.

Maybe years down the road i'll get another AR equipped with a can and a light for come defense. That's at the back of my list of priorities though. I'd sooner get me a Glock 40 to handle errant bear on fishing trips.
 
I agree on the "less is more" approach to AR's. Mine is bone stock, except for the scope I mounted.

I am contemplating mounting my little laser (I bought but never used) strictly for a home defense scenario... and possibly a small light, but that is still optional...

I'm thinking I might build one myself, and set it up strictly for HD (home defense). I'd love to put a can on it, but don't know if it's worth the extra $500-600.... my ears already ring all the time... :rolleyes:
