Grounding/Earthing... Real or Not?!

You must be reading a different version of the bible than me. I can't find anything at all about grounding/earthing in my NIV.

since Jesus has made 'everything' from the 'ground' that keeps us alive, it sure makes me feel
pretty 'grounded' in many, many ways...we have to be really grounded in order to be able
to feel/appreciate the difference in the different places we are privileged to walk/explore
on this beautiful earth...

I'm aware of all those verses. But I don't see where the bible says the practice of grounding/earthing has any particular health benefits. Does this mean there are health benefits to be gained from geophagia too?

Perhaps you are trying to hard to connect the dots when in fact, there are none. The bible says God created Adam from the dust of the earth. The bible says nothing about health benefits of earthing/grounding.

There are Christians out there who put their faith and trust in mans pride, rather then in the incomparable love of our Lord.
They think if science has not discovered something, it does not exists. Yet can man say they have uncovered all of God's wondrous creation and design?
Worse yet, they do not realize that indeed studies have been done that validate this discipline.

Jesus will deal with the un-teachable in His own way, especially when they have

Btw, I'm in Central Texas and the grass is not soft and cushiony like it is in Pennsylvania. Back east the grass is dewy and velvety under your bare feet. Here in Cactus-Land, it's bristly, scratchy crabgrass protruding like tiny spikes out of hard, dry soil. It is not comforatble to my feet at all. Plus, we have fire ants that bite like crazy. I'm wondering if "barefoot sandals" would do the trick. Does anyone here know?

Unfortunately the sole of the sandals would insulate the bottom of your feet preventing ground to earth electrical contact.
You could however get some good Marine grade electrical wire. Maybe some thick 10 AWG . (Comes in 50" lengths) Attach under your heal with sandals on. Marine wire is Very flexible. This wire will follow the contour of the earth nicely as you walk around with 50' lengths of wire attached to your feet, thus keeping very good electrical contact with the ground.

A. I think if you want to make a case that electrically grounding your own body may be good for you,
I'd say I'm open to looking at any evidence you have for that.


B. But if you want to make a case that some undisclosed bible scholars think trees in the bible are metaphors for umbilical cords which tie us to "mother earth"... that doesn't sound like a very compelling doctrine.


I would also note that claiming you have evidence for both A and B are not the same as actually presenting evidence for A and B.

I once watched a 'deaf' person, kick-off her shoes and explain to the audience that she could
'feel' the fibes coming through the instruments that she played and sang to in total harmony
with the others who were accompanying her through the floor...she became deaf as a teenager and just
wouldn't give up her natural gift of 'feeling her music', her voice and her playing
were absolutely heavenly...how much more, must we feel our Father's fibes coming into us
from His natural, flora and fauna???

I'm curious as to how much electrical energy earthers/grounders think passes between a person with bare feet and the ground, as compared with a person wearing ordinary shoes? It's pretty small. Even if you purposely shuffle your feet on carpet to create a large static charge, the energy in the static spark will only be a handful of millijoules. A typical hospital defibrillator can deliver several hundred Joules. That's around 100,000 times more than the static spark between your finger and a doorknob.

MW. get the PEMF book. I read it a few years ago. It's by Bryant A Meyers
There is a lot of info in there about this whole field of biological science.

I have read some of these studies, I think at least one or more on PubMed and some other venue. If I recall correctly, that one was done by a doctor and a group in Canada.

I have to look for them when I have more time.

But you know the fact that you don't get this in the bible tells me you really are starting from the wrong premise. If you start with bad ingredients, you'll never make a good meal.

This is why I am hesitant to go much further with you. I have seen and witnessed this mind set so many times before, and worse, from Christians. No offense, but you just don't get it, which in and of itself is not a big deal, but you not looking to where I said to look in the bible and is a stumbling block for you.
It's the same old story, you don't know what you don't know.

Oh darn, Just trying to be helpful. Never occurred to me that you might like walking in circles getting yourself all tangled up. Probably best to buy wire with pink insulation. Bet you look great all wrapped up in pink

After being on message boards for a decade and a half, with perhaps 10,000 posts, I've been blocked for the first time (that I know of). And why? Because I am skeptical that any purported benefits of earthing/grounding are due to a person actually being electrically connected (grounded) to the earth. That is rich! +1 to you, sir. Carry on.

Do you make a practice of judging the faith of others?

Is the scripture that gives you the authority to judge others anywhere near the scripture telling us that grounding/earthing comes from Jesus?
