Grounding/Earthing... Real or Not?!

just personally, (if one want's to call it 'grounding' - sounds good to me), anyway,
I can vividly remember a very early 'grounding', living in 'key-west', and being
told to 'get out' and don't come home until lunch, I was about 2/1/half or (3)), and yes, I did
feel the sand rubbing against my little, tender feet and toes, and that I loved the feeling
of it, always wanting to get back there when ever I could...

also later, different state, I can vividly remember the grass beneath my feet and
what the 'clover' felt like, etc...it is real...God made it for us in order to survive...
it's our main organ, feeling God's ways...
 
Ok, I just found these earth runner sandals online. The foot's contact with the conductive surface area of the laces allows electron flow. I'm impressed! Must get me a pair! :)

What are the soles made of!

From what I gather, it looks like they are Vibram vegan rubber, leather bedding and copper inside the laces that keep you grounded to the earth. If you happen to find more information, please share it here.

As far as I know, if the soles are rubber you won’t get grounded.

Even if they have copper plugs on the bottoms of the sandals which run to the copper-filled laces? (see picture above)

It's strange, I keep finding a ton of information about why earth runners are excellent grounding sandals, but I'm not finding too much about the materials they're made of. Please let me know if you find conclusive info about them. Thanks!
 
The body can ground anywhere. Back, stomach, arms, etc.
But the bottom of the feet are uniquely receptive to picking up that electric magnetic energy.
If the copper plugs are not in direct contact with the soles of the feet then the person wearing them is missing out on the majority of the charge.
 
The other issue I see with this footwear is the small area using the copper plugs. Compared to the full surface area of the foot sole, it looks .like less then 10%.
 
From the research i did on tnis some years ago, currently the only foot wear that allows for successful grounding is one with leather soles. But they are just about extinct. And can be borderline dangerous. I own a few pairs of them. They are mildly slippery in dry weather
On wet cement they can lead to serious Injury.
They grab the earths current on wet or dry ground yet are more effective on moist or wet ground. But another downside is that they will not keep the bottom of your feet dry when it rains.

Ayyyiiieeee..... :p I just now read all kinds of pros and cons of walking barefoot and also on footware such as the earth runners. Holy cats, it's so hard to sift through everything. I'm 61 yrs old and have been hiking & walking briskly for as long as I can remember. Maybe I'll just continue wearing the same types of sneakers & boots I've always worn. The only thing, I'm just now starting to develop a bit of pain in my right heel. Might arch supports alleviate that? Another question I have: Do longer strides put more pressure on the feet (heels in particular)? I walk rather briskly, taking lengthy steps. Plus I often climb over rocky ground and hike very steep inclines. I pray to God I don't have to start slowing down just because I'm getting older. Walking & talking with God is my favorite thing to do.

All I said was it wasn't proven. I didn't say it was false. Don't out words in my mouth.
So you are not saying it's proven. Just that the theory is scientifically valid. But that's still not proof. And science theories can be wrong.
Myth Busters is often an excellent example if this.

So despite your arguing and putting words in my mouth you actually have proven nothing except your character flaws. And also gave me a good reminder why I keep you on ignore.

we don't care about 'wet feet', unless it is 'really 'cold',
although I have some 'waders' for many years, for surf=fishing: haven't used them in many years...

hub and I, we're rain walkers', when/ever Jesus gives us this gift,,,and we're not to scared!:eek::cool:

these are special times when Jesus calls you outside..
 
Ha ha! The science behind this is *very* doubtful. Right up there with the flat earth stuff.

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that you could walk a mile in regular shoes, and not be able to measure a potential (voltage) difference between skin and ground with even the most accurate voltmeter at any point along the way.

OTOH, perhaps there's some health benefit in getting your feet out of those suffocating shoes and into the fresh air for a bit. And of course there's always the health benefits of walking, shoes or no shoes. :)

It's true when the bible says my people perish because of lack of knowledge.
 
I did some further studying online and discovered that The National Center for Biotechnology Information, The US National Library of Medicine, and The National Institutes of Health published an article in The Journal of Environmental and Public Health in 2015 called, "The effects of grounding (earthing) on inflammation, the immune response, wound healing, and prevention and treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.” I’m sure you can Google that article with that title.

Their summary is, “Grounding appears to improve sleep, normalize the day–night cortisol rhythm, reduce pain, reduce stress, shift the autonomic nervous system from sympathetic toward parasympathetic activation, increase heart rate variability, speed wound healing, and reduce blood viscosity.”
 
I have read more then a few articles about grounding over the years and consistently they speak of the same benefits you mentioned in the Journal article AA.
I am going to look it up. I don't this I read that one. Thanks for the info.

You must be reading a different version of the bible than me. I can't find anything at all about grounding/earthing in my NIV.
