ok, i know this is a random question but, is it a sin to masturbate thinking about your wife? this is a silly question, but i am just wondering. its not commiting adultery in your heart, for you are already married with that person. plz give your answer and some info to back it up.
 
Brother, why do you want to know this? This is a complicated question. For me it's a sin because the man is being selfish to masturbate. I don't know if my reasioning is correct. I want to see the views of other christians.
 
No person will think about his wife and masturbate, but instead he will directly go and enjoy with her
but u just want to make an excuse and want to masturbate, because u are addicted to it.
 
Praise_love, and how about couples who live separeted in two different countries, for example?

The only problem about sin is been addict to it, I just had an awesome conversation with my father about sinning and God's will and etc, I realized God never says the sinners would not inherit the kingdom of God (this way nobody would inherit it), but He do says on 1 Co 6 that idolaters shall not inherit the kingdom of God, and the same chapter says All things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the power of any.

I guess being under the power of masturbation is one thing, different from the situation above...

Well to tell you the truth I don't know, actually I didn't even had a girlfriend yet :)

The most important thing for me is that if it does disturbs my relationship with God or not. If it does, it's bad for me. Dot.

We all know what masturbation is. It is the stimulation of the genitals for deriving immoral sexual pleasure. This is sinful. Why? Simple reason is that when a person masturbates he/she visualizes a woman/man’s body only to satisfy his/her sexual desire. In truth masturbation never really satisfies our sexual desires. On the contrary it only increases our sexual wants. A person addicted to masturbation always wants more and more and more. And what exactly do we benefit from masturbation. Nothing! On the other I should be asking the question: ‘What do we lose through masturbation?’ The answer is everything!
1] We lose our energy. (Through ejaculation, increased rate of metabolism etc.)
This energy could have been used for repairing our damaged tissues, promoting growth etc. Instead it is wasted in masturbation.
2] We lose invaluable time in this fruitless activity. This time could have been well spent in studying, or working, praying. But time once lost is forever lost. And since masturbation if not broken is never ending we eventually waste our life on it.
3] When a person is in the habit of masturbation he/she focuses only on. Since a masturbator is a slave of masturbation he/she is loses his/her own will power. Every time he/she will say, "Today I will stop masturbating." But at the end of the day he/she will end up masturbating. So one loses ones will power. When this is lost one becomes a loser in everything.
4] The addict just cannot look at any person with respect. He/she consciously/unconsciously looks at others as mere sex machines. This greatly hampers ones self-respect. The addict drowns in the sea of inferiority complex. "I am just not good for anything!" is a constant feeling the addict gets.
 
well I think masturbation in that manner is not a sin. Because wife is the only person with whom the husband can have sexual pleasures. Though I think it can become a sin if its a habit or the wife doesnt approve of it. Masturbation in this case is in a thin line. Just like sex is wrong before marriage it is also wrong not to have sex after marriage because it is one of the precious gift from God for both the man and the wife.

wow, what you said through the bottom half of this is so true. believe me, i struggle with this addiction. its true what you said. at the end of the day, you end up falling and you feel like your not good for anything. but near the beginning of your reply, it says its sinful because you think of that person with a sexual desire. but i dont think its rong to have a sexual desire torwards you wife/husband. and if they have some sort of sickness or problem/disorder, when which you and your wife cant have the pleasure together, then is it rong when your wife gives you the permission to do it? i mean, when ppl are married, one day they will have a sexual desire torwards there wife/husband and if they cant do there part, is it still rong? i am not saying its ok or not ok, i am just curious.

yes i know i am only fourteen and i shouldnt be talking about stuff like this, but i heard two christians talk about this topic and i was thinking, hmmm, thats a tuff question, i should ask christian chat ppl. so, i did.
 
there is no problem in asking such question, because every guy face this kind of problem
but hardly few come out openly and ask, i appreciate u for this,
because every boy face this kind of problem, it is not a matter
whether u masturbate or someonelse
does it, good that u came up with this kind of question
