Good Things from "Stay at Home"

What are some of the good things that have happened to you during this stay at home?

All my children and grandchildren except one are still employed, and are receiving their paychecks. My grandson in Michigan is out of work. He was to start a new job the day after the project was put on hold. My granddaughter-in-law still has her job and paycheck, so they can still buy groceries and pay the rent.

I have enjoyed the curbside services of all of our businesses.

We are still going to church. It's drive in, but it works, and God continues to bless us.

We continue enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine.

God still answers our prayers.

some might think this small or petty but:
my youngest was picking up some pretty bad behaviors from kids at school. We wanted him to be away from those kids; however, he's in a charter school that is one class per grade so no other class to switch him to and we didn't want to pull him from this school.
He's not around them anymore, and his behavior has improved.

I'm away from people and I'm alone in my house. That's always a good thing in my eyes.

April 20th is Hitlers birthday & Columbine shooting anniversary. There is always a big school shooting around that time.

Abortions are not happening since it's an elective procedure.

Covid 19 doesn't care about political correctness or she/he/they/them. There's only she and he on the data AND the liberals have actual problems now so they're too busy to cause drama or realize no one cares right now.

Even though I am retired, I lead a hectic life. I'm grateful for the slower pace, and I'm enjoying getting back into reading, especially outside in the patio.

I'm also so grateful for teleconferencing with my doctors. I don't have to drive for an hour round trip, plus sitting waiting long for a late doctor after my appointment time. I have also enjoying using Zoom to talk to friends and attend church. God is good!

* Family
* Reflecting
* Projects that have gone unfinished
*Time to try something new or pick up old hobbies

I'll tell you something bad that has happen. on the last service that we had(at Church) not period. our pastor still stream from his house. any way I was suppose to be brought up before the church the next sunday as a candidate for ordination. then if they accepted it I was to be ordain two sundays later on march 29. and here I sit still un ordained. but they said that when we start back to having normal services again they will pick up where we left off. I'm sorry I'm just being a little kid about it. but lets see something good about being home. I've had some good food and I'm fatter.

Went to the grocery store this morning. No waiting in line to get in. No empty shelves (only missing one item). No significant price increases. Most people wearing masks, and observing 6 ft separation (store had tape marking 6 intervals in every aisle).

We had a great drive. Minimal traffic.

Just an all around great day in Christ.

Was working on flexi time... now its even more flexi=). Thank God for more time to read His word, prayer, meditating on and sharing His truths and love, talking w/ family (who are here), but I miss seeing mom.. singing/playing to the Lord, listening to more teachings, time to exercise, no gas or tranpo fare for now.. more!

Well, no one here has strict schedules to stick with right now. Hubs isn't leaving the house at 6a.m......
no school bus at 6:50 A.m to rush a so -not -a -morning- person onto.
No having to turn around and rush getting the others up, feed dressed packed and out the door by 8.
Then if I haven't gone completely deciding if I can squeeze my morning walk in. Problem is, I cut my time short so I can rush home and take care of what needs taken care of before it's time to get everyone from school, make dinner battle homework, try to get to bed at a decent time to get up and do it all again. I have a place I love to walk, and could go for hours if nothing else were in the way.....

No schedules..... my clan is full of people who will sleep in if given the opportunity.
PERFECT! I'm getting up at the crack of dawn NATURALLY (never been able to do that) getting a good long peaceful walk in and getting back home BEFORE anyone is up

I'm a home body by nature, lol. I like that this season at least makes it more acceptable, even honorable, lol.

Seriously though, um just chilling, reading, writing, watching some tv, and cleaning a bit. Oh and I applied for a job and did my second interview yesterday. I am praying more, praise our Lord, trying not to fret about things like my loves and the economy.

Most days lately, I go outside to walk dogs or shoot some hoops. My dogs think this is a great season.

This whole thing has made me soooo grateful for the little things we will soon be able to do.

Filled my gas tank yesterday. $1.29/gal. I think I'm going to fill my emergency generator tanks. Hurricane season is just around the corner.

Great morning. Farmers have been planting, and are being blessed with plenty of rain. My shop (or more appropriately "man cave/dog house" has a tin roof. The rain on it makes it a perfect day for a great nap.

It's another great day that the Lord has provided. I'm going to rejoice and thank Him for it.

I love this!! 💗💗 As a teacher, I’m seeing some of my struggling learners truly thrive in this situation too. It’s been a blessing for some. I’m so happy she wants to do the learning stuff. 💗

Students in our school district have been distance learning since spring break, and plans are to continue the remainder of the school year. They won't be doing annual statewide testing, so we won't have any standard data to compare to last year. Graduation ceremonies are still up in the air.

I am super happy my kids don’t have to do the state testing, but I do feel bad for the seniors. Our district is aiming to do a graduation in August, but that’s still up in the air.

This would mark our 6th week out (though we opted to take our Spring break now). There are certainly pros and cons from a public school perspective, but it does make things interesting for when we return (hopefully this fall).

I like being at home and get to do more gardening, relax, and pray. its relatively peaceful.

School can be hectic and noisy at times. Im hoping that children are spending more time with their parents, learning how to get a long with their siblings, and got more time to read books.

I like that we can have church service online which I would have liked even before lockdown. ANd saving heaps of money cos not spending on things like petrol and fast food when I have no time to cook.
