I recently joined this community,

September last year I lost my mum. Her death really broke me cos we were really close.

I felt the world has turned against me, I began feeling depressed. I would cry from time to time. I even lost my job cos I wasn't doing my work effectively. The thoughts of suicide began setting in. I usually rebuke these thoughts.

I turned 25 on 7th June, and the devil keeps whispering to me to take my life. He keeps speaking negative things to me, he tells me I haven't achieved anything at my age.

I knew I needed help cos these were no longer mer thought. I once held a knife to take action but God saved me.

I wrote my prayer request in the forum and some brethren prayed for me.

Children of God am alive today and healthy. The devil has lost this battle. Victory is mine. Thank you Jesus.

Well praise God. He also saved me from the same, He is truly amazing. Welcome to the site and salvation is just the very beginning of seeing the whole world in truth. I'm 11 years into the journey and it holds so much more as we grow closer to our King. Glad to hear our God glorified and thanked always.

I have yet to post it in my own prayer thread, but I saw my own Mom for the last time on this earth.
Although not suicidal, I know how you must feel. The devil wants to rob all God's children of their lives and defeat them any way possible. He goes after us when we are weak and tries to manipulate . Hopefully you will find good local Christian sisters to keep encouraging you. They can be most benefit, but you can keep reaching out here too anytime.

Your testimony left chills. I'm glad you made it. Keep praying, He doesn't leave us.

The devil lost this battle.

25 years :) ...

When I was 15 I faced my own battle with suicide.
One day shortly after, I was reading my Bible and came across this verse:
I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done.
Psalm 118:17- NIV

that was 25 years ago.
Now, well there isn't enough room in one post here for me to tell what He has done in my life alone - not to mention what I've seen Him do in the lives of my husband and children (which, at 15 I thought I would never have either) and what I've seen Him do in the lives of countless others I have meet throughout the years.
God is good- ALWAYS

Sister, glad you overcome adversity. Satan wants God's children under same penalty he's under.

I moved away from narcissist in 2018. It was psychological abuse and emotional abuse. The devil doesn't want Christians to repent and have relationship with Jesus.

Depression is one of the tools of Satan.

i was /am depressed, was suicidal, could be considered, will if certain things happen.
