And yet while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Remarkable.
God does not love those who end up in hell. They are objects of His divine wrath.
God has no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked.
But they are considered vessels of wrath.
Exactly. Now, show me one post where I said He did/does.
Wrong my friend. There's this thing called justice. It must be satisfied. When a person is found guilty, the judge may not delight in rendering the guilty's just sentence, but if he/she is a just judge, he will give him them their just due and send them to prison for being guilty of the crime they were convicted of.It's kind of implied that if you love someone you will not take pleasure in their destruction. So if God does not take pleasure in the destruction of the wicked that would in turn mean that He loves them.
Yes. But God's wrath should not be understood as something that somehow cancels out His love. God's love is primary, His wrath exists only as a response to sin, it does not have an existence of it's own and is therefore a function of that which is God's essential nature, namely, Love. (1 John 4:8)
When I read provers 6, especially 16-19. I have to agree with you. I’m sure the majority of people on here can identify with at least one of the 6/7 thing that The Lord hates. Also, psalm 119 ‘I hate and abhir lying’ who doesn’t lie? Seriously? Even if it’s just pretence that we’re happy when we’re not.Psalm 5:5 says “The arrogant cannot stand in Your presence; You hate all who do wrong.”
Then how do you explain the part of the verse that says "You hate all who do wrong"?
I'm willing to be corrected, but I would need more than 'accepted wisdom' or 'common interpretations' to convince me.

Does a parent love a child when they punish them?Does God loves those He will punish in the lake of fire?
Almost as sad as the one in the lakeDoes a parent love a child when they punish them?
God died for them, he offered them a way out, it’s not his fault they chose to reject him.. I think he will be sad on that day
AmenThere is a statement by John. Its either true or a lie. 1 John 4:16 begins with “God is love.” It is a declaration of His essence or being, not what He does, but what He is.
If this is true then it follows that we don’t quite understand the depth and scope of what Divine love looks like. WE love those that love us. Gods love is much bigger.
We are commanded to love our enemies. When we can understand that, we can come close to seeing the crux of the matter.
God is love and to deny that is to deny God's very existence. But you can't cancel it out in lieu of His love. Wrath is just as much one of His attributes as love is. And there are vessels of wrath that will be shown His wrath.
From which Scripture did you come to this fabricated conclusion?Yes, he does. Because the fires of hell are fueled precisely by God's love. God's love, when resisted, becomes a source of torment.
