I've read many of his posts and had many conversations with him when his user name was peterjens. He thinks that to admit you are a sinner is a defeatist position. He thinks anyone who says it is saying it is okay to sin. He's pretty mixed up and thinks he's the only one who "gets it." The problem is compounded by a severe passive - aggressive streak. And then there is also the insolence and dishonesty of coming back with a new name instead of speaking with the mods, so...good luck. :D

That's the thing. God loves us because of who we are (His children) and that love is not contingent on what we do.

Correct, and the more we realize our father's love, the more do we love him too and the more do we hate sin.

I remember a Pastor once said, one of the most powerful proofs that one is saved is they now hate what they used to love, and love what they used to hate.
 
Why use such a name for a topic : “ God lied !” I understand your point is to get the attention, but this way doest feel good to me... but it’s up to you.

Its supposed to make people feel uncomfortable for telling God that He lies.

I think a lot of people were ready to come in and bash the OP until they saw what the body of his post says.

The title is an attention getter for the post that proves God didn't lie when He said we have eternal life and can't lose it.
 
To believe on Jesus is more than mere assent to the fact. Jesus is the true sacrifice in which the animals are a type.

In order to have forgiveness one had to see their sin/transgression of the law and in sorry for sin bring a perfect lamb or sacrifice to the sanctuary and confess their sins on the head of the lamb and then take the life of the lamb as a symbol that their sin cost innocent blood. then out of their realisation and sorrow for sin and the cost of that sin they would determine to no longer commit known sin.

Otherwise known as repentance or turning form sin and turning to God.

False. True repentance means realizing you are in danger of hellfire and need a saviour. Salvation is a gift. The rest is a matter of discipleship
 
huh I wonder if Jesus ever lost a disciple after the person became a disciple?

If Mine is false then your is false also. The reality is what I said is correct and so is what you said. Its just tackling it in a different way. Each of us mentioned something the other did not,Yet both things mentioned are part of the equation.

You can try and justify the awful title of this thread all you want, but it does not belong on a Christian forum. There are hundreds of non-believers and seekers checking things out and they must wonder what kind of a Christian would dare start a thread with this title. So the best thing to do in hindsight is ask the admins to correct the title to GOD CAN NEVER LIE!
