I’m not saying my opinion towards what shape the earth is, all I want to say is: What you said here got under my skin.

I hypothesise that the anger you experienced is cognitive dissonance. You have seen evidence that a closely treasured theory (ball-Earth) is untrue, and this causes you some psychological discomfort. Most people either walk away and forget it, or become angry with the one who draws attention to it. Have you checked the scriptures for what shape God says the Earth is? Because, out of everyone, surely God would know?

Not saying I am okay with piracy, as most people should be able to afford the $7 to sign up for crunchyroll or similar prices for any other anime streaming websites, but if it’s something that will probably never get a English release or has been out of print for such a long time, I don’t see anything wrong with using streaming websites.

I was a bit bewildered when I first was told that the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks were a false flag operation. I thought I had misjudged the one who told me, and that he was crazy. But the more I researched, the more I realised he was right. Until that point, I had believed the lie that it had been carried out by Muslim extremists who hated freedom (lol!) even though when I saw the collapses on television, the first thing I said was "that's a controlled demolition".

So just because we highlight truth doesn't mean you're hated - we are well used to people too indoctrinated to be able to consider the shape of the Earth.

This much I have finally realized. Yes you can argue but remember this, NOT ALL CHRISTIANS HAVE THE SAME OPINION, and I don’t feel like that they need to, cause it comes from the fact that all Humans are different. For example, I actually care about the Christian outlook in Eastern countries versus Africa, probably because I’m into anime, but I just find Japan and most eastern countries more fascinating than Africa, and that’s my honest opinion.

People are entitled to have opinions, opinions are mostly harmless. Like if it a Christian saying they can live a homosexual lifestyle then I have to step in say they are wrong. But if they want to vote for a political group or believe what shape the earth is, then so be it, that is between them and god, I cannot change their stance, ONLY GOD CAN, and that’s if the lord believes that they need the change.

But we shouldn’t be letting “What shape is the earth” to divide Christians even further. You believe what you want to, and I will believe what I want to. Believing what shape the earth is does not factor into any element of a Christian being saved, that is now how I personally feel after seeing all the wasted energy put into arguing on it.

Also, it’s okay for Christians to not agree on worldly stuff, like the earth shape, cause despite our differences, WE ARE UNTIED AS CHRISTIANS, and that’s all that truly matters.

I truly believe fighting over “What shape is the earth” is a truly pointless and hateful discussion, NOTHING TO BE GAINED but hate and sadness.

The last I checked, a circle is a shape, and a circle is flat. Also, nowhere does the bible claim that Earth is just a planet.

I think the KJV is one of the more reliable versions of the bible, not corrupted like the NIV (especially the latest NIV). This topic probably needs another thread, but I doubt even many of the corrupt versions will state this verse any differently to the KJV. Here is the same verse from a (much!) less reliable version - the newest NIV, and it doesn't change much.

I'm glad you're doing well - I had a good day also, thanks! I'm debating some guy in another thread about the (non) existence of viruses, but that one is a bit harder because he posts articles from science journals which were deliberately written in a way so as to make their meaning obscure. I much prefer debates like this one about interesting topics, rather than trying to have to read where the deceit is in some poorly written article.
