Jesus wasn't always all sweetness and candy. He got blunt sometimes, heck, He even got downright mad. Cats Flipping Tables.png

Simply standing up and saying "God loves you, and He wants you to stop" isn't always guaranteed to work. Sometimes they need cold, hard truth, no matter how difficult it is to hear..

Agree, but it was under different circumstances and for different reasons.
 
YA CAN'T BE A WITNESS FOR JESUS if you go to a sinful event, and sit there like a quiet little fraidy-mouse and don't utter a peep.. True, the OP didn't want to go, but he bowed to peer pressure from his family, and compromised his Christian beliefs in the process. His nephew may know his uncle's stance on things, BUT attending this farce, and sitting there like a wet chipmunk is NOT what he should have done. What he should have done is tell his nephew that he respectfully had to decline the invite, because his religious beliefs don't agree with the nephew's lifestyle.

He sat and witnessed this heinous abomination and didn't utter a peep in objection to it. :/ I guess maybe Jesus would have kept quiet too? Because heaven forbid that JESUS might say something to the homo's that they didn't want to hear.. RollEyes.gif

The fact that the nephew didn't kiss his partner is a good sign, BUT the fact that he went through with this sham wedding is even more telling..

It's not hate speech at all, and I resent that comment. So as a Christian, Ricky did the right thing in not standing up for Jesus? I DON'T THINK SO. People NEED to be bold in doing what's right for Jesus. And being bold is NOT sitting there, wondering if anyone else will speak up on this abomination, because he's too timid to do it himself. Timidity won't get you anywhere.
 
Well, most of the participants in this thread definitely shouldn’t go. They would just be sitting still in some corner passing the time🤭😁.

Me thinks that it’s for them difficult to even imagine that a believer can preach wherever she is and whatever the circumstances.

No I am not accusing you or anybody else of hate speech
it was an oblique reference to a previous poster who accused those of not willing to attend a same-sex "wedding" as
stay at home Christians.

It’s our obligation to go wherever the sinners are to speak the Truth. I’d be rejoicing if someone would come tell me the Truth about what an evil, gossiping, foul mouthed, dishonest, trigger happy, suspicious, loud mouthed, envious, greedy etc etc et cetera, old hag I am.
