Let's go back to the part where Kevin refused to kiss Saul publicly. That tells me his spirit is still getting the message of right vs wrong - and that makes him accessible for correction down the road.

There may not be a "down the road".

Luke
12:20 But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
12:21 So [is] he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

No offense but you should have brought the HS into the wedding by standing up and objecting to it. That's what I would have done--objected loud and clear.. lol

You can't be a good witness if you're afraid to speak up for fear that your family might disapprove.

I agree. It's not an easy road. There can be a high price to pay for standing up for our Lord. Remember the faith of our spiritual fathers and the example of our Master and King.

What’s the point of repentance and forgiveness if there’s not a “down the road?” This would be extinguishing people’s salvation - if it was true.

This must be the three strikes rule monster version. One strike and you’re out.

I guess you’ll be saying next that they are willfully living in sin, hardened hearts and etc, and by that qualified for the lake of fire.

Guess what, I believe the Holy Spirit is at work in our hearts. I have no doubt that Ricky’s nephew will be delivered from his sin by the Grace of God.

Amen.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.)

1 Corinthians 5:9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”

Ricky... I want to thank you for being an exemplar of Christ, Who came to this
earth to meet us where we are as sinners, in order to demonstrate the love of God.

Given the culture we live in, where things are first practiced in secret and then slowly these things are revealed and accepted, it is entirely possible in the near future where society will tolerate a man marrying his young "protege" because "love is love"much like in ancient times, I wonder what we will decide to do in those situations.

I also wonder if any of us would attend a wedding where the bride is under the age of consent?

Will we be called to demonstrate our love and not judge?

We are to judge ourselves. Are we being the salt that our Father hath commanded us to be?

I do not see a response to what I actually posted. Could you address this, please?

Sure. We are not to judge the sinner, but we ARE to judge the sin. We are NOT called to tickle itching ears or pretend we love them as we neglect to warn them of the wrath to come. If we truly love them, we will warn them, just like Jesus did.

It seems to me that Ricky has acknowledged the "gay lifestyle" as a sin, and that his nephew is well aware of that fact. So where, exactly, is the problem?

Two poor gay souls are on their way to hell. Do you know what they plan on doing tonight?

How can we warn them by hiding under our beds refusing to communicate with them?

Now I look at it this way, say my nephew is a thief and breaks into houses/banks for a living, I have told him what he is doing is sinful and he needs to come to Jesus, would I go to his house for a party after a heist....NO!!

Of course this is against the law but that is not the point in either case.

The culture has drilled into our heads for so long, we need to be tolerant or else we are hateful, we have really lost a biblical perspective on how we are to live in this fallen world.

And if I was a woman marrying another woman, and my uncle told me that it was sinful, and then my uncle came to my wedding, I would think, well my uncle loves me........ but I know I would also think .........well it must be okay on some level because my uncle is in attendance.

But if her uncle came to the wedding and pleaded with her and all in attendance not to consent to this horrible blasphemy, then she would know her uncle cared about the destination of her eternal soul. If her uncle was not prepared to do this, then his next best option would be to stay home so his absence could say this.
