Satan is destroying them for sure and they do not realize this, many also do not realize they are promoting his agenda for him, they are in places of power and influence where he has placed them to do his bidding.
Boy ya got that right.
The question I have is, why, 9 times out of 10, God just stands back and lets that happen.

I don't think you should go. I suggest meeting with him and his boyfriend, looking them both in the eye and telling them what they are doing in sinful and they need to repent.
If you had a really nice niece who was going to have a 'bride of Satan' ceremony to ceremonially marry Satan in a church of Satan ceremony, would you attend that? How about if you had a cousin and his wife who was inviting everyone for a 'Swinging Consecration' ceremony to have a really left-wing priest consecrate their new swinging lifestyle?
First, I strongly object to being called a homophobe when I do not approve practising of sodomy or whatever it is called with lesbians .. I do not fear homosexuals so am not homophobic .. the Anglican Church of Canada, within the last year, sanctioned gay marriage .. when I phoned a top official to question this, the guy laughed nervously the whole time we talked .. I asked why they did this even though I know why - to ensure more numbers and, therefore, more money - and he said it was to prevent promiscuity .. I said promiscuity was not the issue in Sodom and Gomorrah but that sodomy was the issue with homosexuals .. he could not rationalise and justify their stand and he could not answer to my saying that in allowing gays to marry was opening the door to their practising homosexual sex as sexual activity outside of marriage is sinful but now since they are married, marital sex would be non sinful .. but the only sex they can practise is sodomy and God's Word calls that an abomination to God, so, obviously, sinful .. the gay couples can be married but abstain from any sexual relations or if they engage in sexual relations of sodomy, can repent aka return to God aka change back to doing His Will not their own and abstain from further sexual activity .. but how is the Anglican Church of Canada going to "repent" for misleading gays into believing that within marriage as Christians they can have sex - even when such can only be the abominable sodomy .. how can the Anglican Church of Canada rationalise and justify what they have done to suit God and if they become repentant, how do they stop current gay marriages from engaging in sodomy .. genuine repentance is the only way but how does the Anglican Church do so .. the gay married couples can repent .. may God guide the married gays who are practising sodomy to repentance and may He help the Anglican Church to want to repent and to find a way to do so ..
I'm interested what the problem is with homosexuals...?
I know it is forbidden in the old testament but so often Christians distance themselves from the OT, they say things like "but that's the old testament". Also the rule against homosexuality is given amongst a whole bunch of other rules from god, like not to wear mixed fabric and that men should not trim their beards. Seems a bit like cherrypicking?

Because we have a mouth , are capable of writing and typing, and calling out bad behaviour. Its just as much up to us as him. He wants repentance, not to Destroy anyone for their sin.
Well the first thing is that post wasn't directed towards you and second thing it was part of a conversation/debate that had been ongoing for months. Some of the participants acted as if homosexuality is worse than idolatry, drunkenness, astrology minded or being deceitful. I'm from California and my definition of homophobia may be different than yours. In California it's similar to racism and gay bashing is an attitude. I'm anti homosexual behavior but not as much as being anti abortion and antiracist. They most certainly can repent and I know some that have. I think the gay agenda is partially fueled by the atheist agenda which is trying to remodel a society without God.
They most certainly comitted worse sins and crimes against God and humanity with the worship of Nimrod, Baal, Asherah and roving bands of rapists wild in the streets in the night.

Should I add; Islam, Mormonism, Atheism and Moonies to the list of abominationations that didn't exist 2000 years ago?

Both OT and NT forbid homosexuality as a serious sin against ones own body. God's plan for the family has always been a man and a woman. That was what He created. It is not cherry picking. That said God loves the homosexual but He does not agree with homosexuality.

Are we talking about the secular or the ekklesia (true called out church/assembly)..... important to make the distinction?
To be graphic, why God hates it, is because men use other men as women but they put their private parts up where they dont belong, where the number twos come out. This is very damaging to them, physically and emotionally as well as spiritually.

Well you learn something new everyday...I had not ever heard of a "moonie" until now. It sounded like a derogatory term...I wiki'd it but can't seem to find a doctrinal belief system that is so corrupted.
Except a little context is also important for so called cherry picking. I am glad you brought it up though because I've felt these kind of stipulations on me without having levitical law directly on my mind. I knew there was something about beards or thought there might be because when I started growing out my hair it felt wrong to cut it. So I was reading and bam! right there.
^But actually that applies to priests. Just look at a different translation of Lev 21:5 or go back a few verses and you'll see that has to do with priests. An argument could be further applied that this priesthood is not Jewish for the gentile (Israelite law) but under the priesthood of Yeshua which predates that to the order of Melchizedek.
These laws were not in effect (it is not said) however other things had been said. Marriage being between a man and a woman was clearly defined and shortly after Abraham's encounter with Melchizedek sodom and gomorrah were destroyed.
You can also see that sacrificial laws were a little vague around this time as well. Clearly there was some type of format but it is unclear to me at present.
The NT is VERY clear about sexual immorality, as well as Yeshua (Jesus) taking it one step further with lustful thoughts. Impurity in general in one's very thought life.
There were many things he did not reiterate for seemingly clear reasons. He said several times "it is written" (also consider John 1:1...) ; most of his ministry was predicated on taking for granted the authority of what was written. He did not need to tell people not to have cross dress because "it is written". Moses had decades to dictate the law and instruct...the ministry of Jesus however was time limited to what was necessary.
Just something to chew on I suppose. I am willing to continue the discussion. It's a VERY good discussion there are times where it seems easier to throw out the entire OT but in my view one would have to throw out the entire word because the faith being predicated on Jesus Christ who is the fulfillment of the law as well as the "word" it cannot be separated.
In regards to mixed clothing, there's a reason. 100% cotton certainly feels better to me for some reason. I don't get it. That doesn't mean it is of no value. I know people are quick to proclaim legalism when following such commands. Sometimes it's a better safe than sorry for me...is it really that hard to change your wardrobe? Nope. To be conscious about what you buy, where it was made, who made it, who you are supporting with your purchase? Nope.
Being conscientious about the law is not a bad thing, whether you follow the letter thereof is between you and the Lord and personally I think Romans 14:4-6 can be applied to this and should be kept in mind.
