In a general sense, a child being afraid of the dark or an adult who has suffered trauma that caused fear is not sin either. When that fear leads to the sin of unbelief, that is sin. I didn't read here that someone feared and didn't believe, only that they feared. Again, that is not sin.

Being empathetic to a person who said they were molested and were afraid, then, by saying fear is not sin and is part of being human, does not imply that I'm suggesting to others to be fearful and unbelieving.

Unbelief is sin, but fear in a general sense is not.

Thank you for posting these Scriptures. In Genesis chapter 17, Abraham was willed to be Faithful and Blameless, yet later he was afraid that king Abimelech would kill him for his beautiful wife, Sarah. Later, and from the words of Paul, we are told that we are to have the Faith of Abraham and that he is our "Father of Faith" implying that he is our role model of what it is to have True and proper Faith.

I am 100% confident that Posthuman wouldn't walk up to Abraham and call him a "sinner" and that he lacked Faith. A simple reading of the entire Bible would make these things crystal clear.

in the context of Christ going to the cross?

or if God tells you to do something?

suppose Noah was afraid to build the ark - would that be accounted righteousness on Noah's part?
& the psalm clearly tells us that we should not fear but instead, put our trust in Him: thereby defining fear as lack of trust in God.

does Christ lack trust in God?
is Christ lacking trust in God "so He can be more like fallible sinful unbelieving humans" correct doctrine or is it blasphemy?
is Christ fallible?

and Abraham is severely admonished for doing so.

Abimelek called Abraham in and said, “What have you done to us?
How have I wronged you that you have brought such great guilt upon me and my kingdom?
You have done things to me that should never be done.” ​
(Genesis 20:9)​
 
To my knowledge, the only thing Jesus feared was the Lord God and, by extension, “being made sin“ for all mankind. In His anguish He sweat became like great drops of blood.

Should the time come when my physical body is challenged for my faith in Christ i hope/pray i can be as Stephen. In our daily lives fear has a role we dont stick our hands through the fence that says beware of the dog... Most of us do not have the faith to tell the storm "be still' and have it obey. So we use the God given commons sense, or fear, to not go boating in a storm.

In re-reading the above it may seem to some that my dad was the molester he was not . I was afraid he would go after Mr Penny and hurt him bad.

My own take on this is that Jesus wept because of the enormity of their ignorance of the power and glory of God, their ignorance of the essence of life, and their general lack of faith.

Jesus had just finished having a discussion with Martha where he told her that he is the resurrection and life, and whosoever believes in him though he were dead , yet shall he live, when Martha's mind was on his brother rising on the resurrection day. And, afterwards he said to her and I quote "Said I not unto you that if you would believe, you should see the glory of God". Martha and her sibling never understood just like the others at the funeral who might have followed his teachings and miracles and yet were manifesting such magnitude of unbelief and ignorance by their wailing. Who knows he would have even seen the hypocrisy of those who came to mourn with them. If Mary and Martha would have seen their innermost mind, maybe, they would have dismissed all of of them. ( just saying knowing how some people who attend funerals enjoy themselves on the way to the funeral and turn to great mourners on reaching the funeral site. It is hypocrisy. Such mourning is superficial. I understand, they even hire mourners nowadays in some parts of the world. It is business for some.

I do not think that he was showing his humanity as being interpreted sometimes, considering the discussion he had with Martha. I do not see him encouraging such emotions or else he would not have told the man who wanted to go and bury his father first before coming to follow him , to allow the dead to bury the dead (Lk 9:59) --- considering his human side, would he not understood the emotional trauma the man was going through at that moment?
