Love – what is it worth? Like the kingdom of heaven, love is akin to it
Like a treasure most never find, hidden in the earth
Some it will find, but remaining blind, they quickly confine it
True love knows no boundaries, it cannot be bound
Some choose to smother it, burying it six feet in the dirt
Some will embrace it, sacrificing themselves, and watch their blessings abound
Some it will destroy, their evil suspicions keeping them always alert
They will believe the lies, whispered in their minds
Seeing ghosts everywhere, of the one they selfishly leave behind
Corrupting the image of the one that defines them
Like two cogs fitting perfectly together, ticking like clockwork
One may rust, and send the finely tuned machine screeching to a halt
For those who persevere and lay waste to their blame
Love will take hold of, renew, regenerate, and only joy will remain
Trust everlasting, beyond emotion, beyond ecstasy, love beyond comprehension
Love is supernatural, breaking the barriers of all unseen dimensions

The demons around us – their attacks are never-ending and merciless
