No doubt that Scripture, the Bible, puts a lot of emphasis and importance on faith. But where does Scripture, the Bible, state 'FAITH ALONE'? TIA

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. John 3:36
This does not tell us to not work, it tells us that the works we are to do is not for our salvation. We are told our works show our love of the Lord, and that we will be rewarded for our works, but out salvation is through faith.
God is working in you, so lean on Him for your strength to do all things. Prov. 3:5,6

It never ceases to amaze me how so many people stake their claims on the malefactor on the cross, as if what transpired with him somehow cancels out other portions of scripture that they seemingly don't like, but, sure, I'll play.
Luke 23
39And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
This malefactor, unlike the other malefactor, sought a salvation far greater than just being delivered from his present predicament on the cross in verse 39, and he therefore rebuked the other malefactor in verse 40.
This malefactor feared God in verse 40.
This malefactor recognized that he was justly condemned or that he was receiving the due reward for his deeds in verses 40-41.
This malefactor recognized Jesus' innocence or that he had done nothing amiss in verse 41.
This malefactor called Jesus "Lord" in verse 42.
This malefactor asked Jesus to remember him when he came into his kingdom in verse 42, so he apparently not only believed in Christ's coming kingdom, but he also apparently believed that Christ would rise from the dead in order to come into his kingdom. He also apparently believed that he would be resurrected from the dead himself one day, and he wanted to ensure his own place in Christ's coming kingdom.
This malefactor, based upon the aforementioned things, received a promise from Jesus that he would be with him in paradise that day.
I'll leave it to you to sort out what all of that means.
A literal word for word translation of Paul states it this way. "For we reckon that a man is to be declared righteous by faith, apart from works of law." (Rom 3:28)
There is no definite article in the Greek so it is "law", not "the law", and this refers to any applicable law of God, not just the Law of Moses. Martin Luther was attacked for adding the very legitimate word as seen in his translation:
"So halten wir nun dafür, dass der Mensch gerecht werde ohne des Gesetzes Werke, allein durch den Glauben" (Literally: "We therefore conclude that a man is justified without the works of the law, only through faith").

Good Works (spiritual) are the evidence that true salvation has occured. 1 John, we see in the sheep & goats parable the same concept....sheep had faith and did the work and we're invited in to the sanctuary ....the goats argued they did the work, but the didnt show faith...and were cast out!!

The Bible clearly states in many passages of scripture that we are saved through belief/faith "apart from additions or modifications." (John 1:12; 3:15,16,18,36; 6:40,47; 11:25,26; Acts 10:43; 13:39; 16:31; 26:18; Romans 1:16; 3:22-28; 4:5; 5:1; 10:4; 1 Corinthians 1:21; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8; 2 Timothy 3:15; 1 John 5:13 etc..).
Now you don't need to add the word "alone" next to "belief/faith" in each of these passages of scripture in order to figure out that the words, "belief/faith" stand alone in connection with receiving eternal life/salvation. Hence, FAITH ALONE. Do these many passages of scripture say belief/faith "plus something else?" Plus works? NO. So then it's faith (rightly understood) in Christ alone.
Not to be confused with an empty profession of faith/dead faith that remains "alone" - barren of works. (James 2:14-26)
Do you recall the many times that Christ said "Your faith has saved you, go in peace"? Does that sound like "faith alone"? The Bible is crystal clear: We are saved BY GRACE through faith", and salvation is a gift of God.
So, what is true and real faith in Jesus? Is it just a mental faith and acceptance that Jesus is Lord, God, and Savior.
Or does faith in Jesus encompass more than that? Does faith in Jesus include not only believing that He is Lord, God, and Savior but also believing in all that He taught us and taught us to do?
What is real and true faith in Jesus? TIA

When we connect the dots, we see that Salvation is completely by faith in the shed blood of Jesus. Works follow after.
We come by faith, and we live by faith. Works are the fruit and evidence which results. Works do not play a part in receiving salvation.
Pride and trust in one's works will keep one out of Heaven.
The thief paints a beautiful picture of faith and humility. It is a bold and strong statement and lesson for all of us.
Ephesians 2:9
“Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Not having the imputed righteousness of Jesus will keep one out of heaven period, there does not need to be any show of works to be justified.

In fact, the New Testament, God's Word, tells us very clearly that love is more important.
