I guess this is my way of promoting a healthier world; for a side dish tonight (which is literally a full plate) is Italian Spinach Salad with dried cranberries, whole blue berries, whole strawberries, Italian salad dressing and what I used to not like but like now, little chunks of blue cheese.

Hope it looks somewhat appetizing.

A sorry for the picture. I ate what isn’t in the photo.

As pantry chef (said with the smugness of Barney Fife), I've served this salad, with all the mentioned ingredients in one variation or another, many times as an entree with a 'side' of chicken breast. I'm partial to a buttermilk ranch dressing, personally. Some might think that adding candied walnuts, or candied bacon, would make it less healthy but any way that I'm successful in convincing anyone to eat a healthy amount of spinach, I'm going to do it.

I figured adding healthier food thread options, would help some people get a little motivated to becoming more health conscious; especially myself.

I do agree that chicken breast and substituting Italian salad dressing for ranch, is probably healthier; as Italian dressing is usually packed with sugar.

We did make fried chicken tenders and mashed potatoes tonight also but I don’t think I should add that picture to any of the threads; as fried anything probably shouldn’t be promoted on this website.

No fried anything?! What about sautéed, deeply sauteed?
A postgraduate in nutritional support with a bachelor's in nutrition, Maria Arienti, says that avocado oil is the best oil for frying. It's fatty acids lower bad cholesterol and the risk of heart disease, and it has a smoke point of 520 degrees which makes it great for deep frying.

It doesn’t take a postgraduate in nutritional support to learn that information but you sold me anyways, because I completely agree with that information. You fry anything in avocado oil and it makes all of the flavors of the food taste like they are in 4-D. I think the top three oil options as of year 2020, are extra virgin olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil and I’m not sure if avocado oil comes in virgin or extra virgin varieties but avocado oil is in the top three.

It’s been a while since I did any nutritional research. I figure i did all the research i possibly could do, from 2016 to 2022 and just stopped watching any nutritional/health videos.
