Welcome to CC brother! The most encouraging thing I could tell you that has helped me the most is to stay in the word of God. Try to read a chapter a day. If that's too overwhelming for you try it once a week and go from there. I have never felt bad after reading a chapter. I always feel much better when I do.
single but know that Jesus is always our best friend & He's open 24 hours a day! 1 thing i don't hear or see enough is that Jesus is a funny guy. yes, he is. he jokes with me often. i say this because many churches portray almost a sad & or dull image of Jesus. saying that you can't do this too much, can't do that too much & on & on. i attended a church for a while back about 18 years ago & the pastor was in control of the congregation too much. you easily could discern that he minimized fun times whether it was game time at church or church picnics. 1 time, at a church member's party, he tried to cut the time to 3 hours & actually announced something like this: "okay folks let's rap this up". i said to myself, "this guy wants to control his harem like a bull". many did not appreciate that & thought the same thing i did. by course, i stopped attending the church. he did a pretty good job pastoring though. vbereses for encouragement: Psalms 16, 21, 46, 62 & 146. "smile a long while in Jesus" praise the Lord!!!!!!!!
yes, i joke around often. there's not enough of it around here at least. an exasperated salesman abandoned his car in a parking lot & left this note: "i've circled this block 20 times. i have an appointment & must keep it or lose my job. forgive us our trespasses". upon returning, he found this note: "i've circled this block for 20 years. if i don't give you a ticket, i'll lose my job. lead us not into temptation"!You seem a little humorous.
