Certain women went out to the cemetery before the sun was up and Jesus
was already gone. (Matt 28:1-6 & John 20:1) So maybe we should be
having twilight services instead of sunrise?

Aside from the apparent differences in the language and grammar of Matt
28:1-6, Mark 16:1-7, Luke 24:22-23, and John 20:1-2; the point that all
clearly agree upon is that Jesus was gone when the women arrived.

FAQ: If Jesus' crucified dead body was restored to life before the sun came
up, then how can Sunday be counted as the third day since his ordeal. (Luke
24:21-23)

REPLY: Back then; civil days began at 06:00 am and ended at 06:00 pm;
which made for a twelve-hour day regardless of the season. (John 11:9-10)

Sometimes civil days began before sunrise. For example: the sun arose in
Jerusalem April 09, 2023 at 06:19 am, which in the past would've been 19
minutes after the beginning of their civil day.

So; if Jesus' crucified dead body was restored to life sometime in those 19
minutes before sunrise, then technically he was within the limits of a new
day rather than the tail end of a previous night.

If I have a jar filled with golf balls, Jellybeans and sugar....it is 3 items filling the jar. Even if I only have one golf ball or one jelly bean....I still have three items in the jar.

So....even if it was a millisecond of Sunday that Jesus was in the grave for on Sunday....still counts as a day.

The prophecies say nothing about Jesus being in the ground for 72 hours...just a rough 3 different days.

And people are desperate to prove that being altruistic while holding to a biblically based morality is a what God wants of us because it's in our best interests. That's why they try to punch holes in the Gospel accounts. They've been trying for 2,023 years and failing.

Think they will give up?
Nope! They would rather do evil and be evil than repent.

A preponderance of textual evidence attests that Jesus' crucified dead body
was restored to life during the third day, rather than after the third day was
completely over and done with.

In order to understand how Jesus was resurrected on Sunday before the Sun rose, we must first return to Genesis 1 to relearn what constitute a day.

It is here where God created the seven day week. On the first day He created light; however, God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light day and the darkness He called night. AND THE EVENING AND THE MORNING WERE THE FIRST DAY (GEN 1:3-5).

Each creation day accounts ends with the same statement "And the evening and the morning were the 1st - 6th day." Gen 1: 1-31.

Thus, a day constitutes an evening (night) and morning (day), and begins at Sunset (evening) and ends Sunset (evening) - a 24 hour period. This is clearly manifested today with Orthodox Jews, Seventh Day Adventist, Baptist Adventist, and other religious denominations that keep the biblical Sabbath. When the sunset (evening) on Friday, Sabbath begins for them.

Therefore, Jesus was resurrected the third day (Sunday) before the sun arose because the day had already started the previous evening (Saturday night or sunset), which is both the start and end of a day.

I don't think the time of day is that important, I think it matters more that a worship service falls on the Sabbath. The other thing that gets to me about religious denominations is the fact that their names are such little compressed characterizations. For example, why say Adventist? I really think that description of your faith focus is redundant, because there was a first Advent too, it's known as the life of Christ in protestant theology. So, if you don't even believe in the Advent at all, meaning the coming of the Messiah, you just can't call yourself a Christian with any integrity or logical justification, whether you go to church on Sunday or Saturday.

On what day do you figure Jesus was crucified? That makes a difference, also.

I'm all in for a Wednesday crucifixion.
