Arab spring in bahain many died. it was not an uprising to become western it was a fight between the two muslim relgions. not many know there is two main branches of muslim not one united batch
Well, many would suggest that the United States helped the arab spring along. I don't know it for a fact, but I don't put my government above doing shady business- and it was publicly known that we wanted to try to create democratic societies in the middle east, because it would supposedly help stop terrorism. And our social media platforms were certainly utilized. I guess we are paying for it now with social media raising political hell in the US and the violent rioting that has happened in the last 3 years.
I hope Christianity is doing well on your side of the globe. It seems to be fine over here, besides the fact that (as you have observed) no one actually agrees on what it is.

I dance like a stork with a broken wing...no rhythm whatsoever. I finally got my wife to admit that I was right...I can't dance at all.
But I dance to make her happy....we just did it recently at a friend's birthday party....they had his place set up for it too....it was fun. (She was delighted)
And if my wife says that I can dance with you I got no issues with it.
Just reading through this thread a bit. What are Paul’s lost letters and where can I read them? Thanks.
There's a couple of different books with the letters translated in them.
I'm trying and failing to remember authors and names of the books with them in it. I knew they were out there and stumbled upon one while reading in a Christian bookstore....I sat down and blew through it. (I read really fast)
It's more of a textbook that might appear at a seminary than anywhere else....hope that helps you in your search. But I'm forgetting the names I was once told.
What does jeans have to do with modesty? Does anyone ever read that passage in the bible about dressing modest. That passage is more about display of wealth than anything else. Sure enough its also about not being a sexual provocateur, but its not a dress code.
We do the same thing that the Pharisees did. We create legal boundaries around God's law we even give it a similar name unwritten rules.
A person who actually travels to another country figures out fairly quickly that they worship the EXACT SAME JESUS that we do in another part of this planet.
Their clothing styles differ greatly from ours and we visitors are the people who are dressed strangely...actually going against what Paul has said.

Western evangelicalism invented these rules, like Pharisees invented their rules. Its quite frustrating how they heap burdens on the people of God. Xhurches that are borderline heretical foisting the twisted evil imagining that flow from their darkened and nearly dead souls upon people who love God and want to do right.
Cultural attire for where every you are is appropriate ... " all things to all people" as Paul said.
Finnish, German, Dutch and others all look at American and UK churches as if they lost their minds.
Like we need to be taught to dress appropriately....those in South America are too much into not having any sort of dress code to bother with the admonition of Paul. You really don't know what you will see in Brazil.

You've answered your own question, and that was the concern the OP has also, and why she prefers not to wear jeans in case they highlight her femininity and cause someone to have impure thoughts. That's love in action.
That's her choice, she is free to make it.
Jeans arent sexually provocative necessarily; I guess they could be, but not normally. However thats an opinion. I never bind a person conscience to an opinion.
Millions of years ago about 1961. Girls still had to wear dresses/skirts to school. Dad and i were having a 'discussion' . As long as i stayed respectful we could differ in thoughts. We were talking about men and women's clothing . Dad thought girls should ware dress of some sort and guys pants. Being he was a pastor well versed in Scripture up came the passages about women not waring the attire of man. O how i miss my daddy, So i respectfully replied asking, if he was waring robes or tunics ?

Yes brother, but it's not always possible to wear a dress, or find one modest enough to wear. I recall when I was in ministry trying to find clothes. And the more the world promotes their ideal of woman the harder it was to find clothes. It's gotten to the point that a suit is also near impossible to find or afford. And a woman can be every bit as provocative in a dress/skirt as in jeans, even more so. It's a matter of the heart. And I believe the Ops heart is in the right place, so whatever she wears it will be with modesty, and their in is the key.

Agree... let's not let our parts stand out.
I don't know where you live, but where I live it will be 110f by the end of this week. If you think wearing a pair of shorts and a t-shirt is a sin, y'all had better not go south in the summer. You can still dress modestly and go for a swim or beat the heat. Men can also dress provocatively, so lets not rest all this on the ladies either.
We have a lot of things that we consider part of normal culture here in the USA that are almost poison for other cultures. Kinda like alcoholic beverages for Native Americans type poison.
We, have tolerances for such things but they necessarily do not.
We have a huge taboo over certain types of clothing which we believe shows too much skin. In other cultures partial to full nudity is no big deal because it's not considered provocative...they are immune to seeing so much skin. But to us Americans it is novel and most American guys have a difficult time not falling for visual traps.
Once upon a time a woman showing bare ankles was considered scandalous....now I'm not exactly sure where a hem line is supposed to go to be considered conservative. The USA is a land of perpetual immigration. So we definitely have all hem lines in constant movement.
