The Bible says the Sun and moon go down and rise. So in the Bible when the earth and moon stood still it could have happened. If the earth was rotating then stopped all the oceans would flood, spill ext. this making the miracle kind of tough.

Umm... no, it doesn't. Not at all. To a God that can stop the planets holding the water to the earth would be nothing. In fact your version makes it Less miraculous by trying to use science to explain a miracle. But miracles operate outside of science. That's why they're miracles. So you'll have to find a better argument.
PS The whole flat earth schtick has been beaten to death on these forums already, so don't expect you're going to show up and phase anyone.

It’s about what you can comprehend, standing on earth you can only see the sun and moon rise above the horizon, standing on the earth you can’t see the earth spinning. there’s a bunch of statements in the Bible based just on what a person can observe from their point of view.

And I thought stopping the earth would be a tough miracle, I guess water could be harder to stop than a planet.

That is only a human perspective and actually, the heavens and earth are a creation of our consciousness. It means that if everyone is to pass away today, there will be no heavens or earth or cars or planes also. Heavens and earth and all that comes from them only exist in the mind- so nothing really rotates or moves and nothing is stationery.

Any act of God, whether it is perceived as small or large is a miracle and there is nothing that is tough for God. The tough part is when the miracle is examined and explained, accepted or rejected, by the limited or biased capacity of the human mind.

That's it exactly. People tend to limit God based on their own preconceived concepts.

Jeremiah 32:27
I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

Wow I didn’t think about stopping the water because the miracle was stopping the Sun and the Moon. That’s a good point. God could do anything, so God could make the sun and moon stop in the as the Bible says. Right?

No but it appears no one believes God stopped the Sun and Moon. We know God also controls the sea. Jesus can walk on it or calm a storm. So do you believe God stopedthe Sun and moon or stopped the earth?

Well the sun does spin like the earth, but the earth rotates around the sun not the sun around the earth. so yea I believe the rotation of the earth was stopped along with the seas, winds, clouds on it.

Any other miracles we should throw out? Water doesn’t turn to wine, or walking on water? If God says the Moon stood still as did the Sun I am not sure how to process that. Thanks for the candid responses. How did you get this name “ KnowMe”?🤓

Joshua 10:13 KJV
[13] And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

Johnnyvegas,

The world does not move.

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Psalms 93:1

Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. Psalms 96:10

Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. 1 Chronicles 16:30

Yes it is written in the bible how the sun physically rises and goes down.

The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. Ecclesiastes 1:5

And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. Genesis 15:12

And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. Genesis 15:17

The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. Genesis 19:23

And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. Genesis 28:11

And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh. Genesis 32:31

But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exodus 17:12

If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. Exodus 22:3

If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down: Exodus 22:26

And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food. Leviticus 22:7

And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah. Numbers 2:3

And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ijeabarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising. Numbers 21:11

The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising. Numbers 34:15

Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising; Deuteronomy 4:41

And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising; Deuteronomy 4:47

Are they not on the other side Jordan, by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign over against Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh? Deuteronomy 11:30

But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. Deuteronomy 16:6

But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again. Deuteronomy 23:11

In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 24:13

At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee. Deuteronomy 24:15

From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. Joshua 1:4

Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD'S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising. Joshua 1:15

And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day. Joshua 8:29

Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. Joshua 10:12,13

And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day. Joshua 10:27

Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east: Joshua 12:1

And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath. Joshua 13:5

And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chislothtabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia, Joshua 19:12

And turneth toward the sunrising to Bethdagon, and reacheth to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthahel toward the north side of Bethemek, and Neiel, and goeth out to Cabul on the left hand, Joshua 19:27

And then the coast turneth westward to Aznothtabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west side, and to Judah upon Jordan toward the sunrising. Joshua 19:34
