If I love Him why wouldn't I rejoice to see His day?
If i am condemned i deserve it; if I receive mercy it's lovingkindness.
In either case, His glory
i am not afraid; i love Him

I do agree with you on the symbols and imagery riddled through, the book of Revelation.I think that’s the best approach to Revelation due to it’s complexity. Definitely not wise to try to interpret it all literally, but some parts are probably literal. I didn’t really read Revelation for s long tome for that reason. There’s a lot of Old Testament style language in Revelation called apocalyptic language. I think if that much is understood then it’s a helpful beginning.
A friend recently told me that the book of Revelation frightened her. I am so in love with God (Allah to some Christians) that I feel I have righteous fear of God. The punishment I receive I will have earned. I spent many years in a denomination where shouty pastors did their best to put terror of God in our hearts. I don't think that was his intention.
I am primarily an Abrahamic academic. To me many of the Christian denominations are dead, The OT appears to be of value, but many scholars dispute over parts of it. After the Four Gospels, the books there are of questionable value to me. There are many thousands of Christians who speak Arabic, use Isa as the name of Jesus, call Mary Myriam, and Allah for God.

Sadly, it appears you are presenting a different Gospel than the Gospel of Jesus. I would warn you that doing so is against the Rules of the Forum. Just FYI....
I see no justifiable way those who believe what you posted above can call themselves Christian............
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if some so-called Christian is worshipping Allah they aren't worshipping the Christian God. Allah is a distant tyrant who you can never be sure if you're pleasing him or not. You have to try and earn his favor. The Christian god is our loving heavenly Father. He sent His only begotten Son to save us because of his great love. We could never earn His favor so He made the way for us to have His favor in Christ Jesus.
I spend over 30 years as an Evangelical, and finally left because it had grown to bizarre for me. At one time I thought I would be in the ministry. Fine, by your definition, I am not Christian any more. I submit to the judgement of God.

I havent read it for that reason.
Yes I felt scared reading it and a lot of it I didn't understand
Thank you Oyster67 you are very patient with those of us here who are new to reading the Bible so Im grateful for the guidance you have shown usIt is good to remember that Jesus has not appointed us to the wrath which He shall pour out on the wicked in the Day of His Wrath upon the enemies and persecutors of His people.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 Context
6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Allah is just another word for God. There were Christians in Northern Syria who dated back to the time of Jesus, and speak a mix of Syriac and Arabic. The wars there either wiped them out, or they perhaps moved?
