Unfortunately I would expect a lot of negative comments. But I believe miracles do happen today.

I was actually wondering. What is this thread about? What's the point of this thread?

What does the bible teach about Misogyny? Well, nothing Brothers & Sisters, nothing at all. Misogyny is hatred and contempt for women. The word of God teaches us about loving not hating.

Unless some mixed up little girl started the thread to stir things up between boy & girls so they do some man shaming. I guess it worked for her huh?!

You been played. I been played. God bless you sister I wish you well.

Mods will fix it.

Who cares? Only you apparently, lol. I am wearing matching socks today so that's a plus. It usually dont matter to me. That's how men are lol.

I'll get right on that for you, lol. We'll get this fixed! (she wants it fixed?)

Still no sandwich. Watch for the fix to go through on my tab...

Even if you're using it as a derogative term, I consider it an honor to bare the label. You're not offending me in the least, but I can see why everyone gets offended by being called a Calvinist.

I don't ever think I've heard Quaker used as a derogative term. I've always heard only good about them and the same with Mennonites. Always known to be good workers, and usually the best at what they do.

Ask the person who started it.

It was a new member (who is not as new today as he was when he started the op). Per usual, a man, who has convinced himself that women were made to make men's lives better and the Bible, according to his understanding, proves that, amen and if you have even one single little 'but', then you are a Jezabel and wear your skirts too short and your blouses too low and seduce innocent men who cannot help but react when they see certain things and women should wear a bag over their heads and the muslims have really solved the problem of looking at women why don't we do the same.

With one exception, I think every single thread on how women should 'behave' has been started by a man. The one exception I'm thinking of, the woman was behaving like a slave and she said she liked it. Takes all kinds. shrugs

Thing is, if husbands would actually be Christlike, most women would not be so resistant towards the 'priest' of the home who often enough does not even open a Bible. However, Proverbs 31 still says what it says. This whole thing is so unbalancled, that its a wonder the earth does not tip of its axis.

Unless of course you are a flat earth believer. In that case, watch the last step.

No book rooted in mysogyny would ever let these verses stay in it:

“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. … Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” - Ephesians 5:22-25

“In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. … However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” - Ephesians 5:28-33

It literally demands the full sacrifice of the man for the woman, to the same degree they love themselves and even beyond... to literally dying for them.

These verses alone should put an end to any confusion people might have.

First I've ever heard about the quakers, I wondered if you where pulling my leg until I read up on the rules of a Quaker church, I've also since learnt that there's also something called Quakerism lol.

But I wonder if that's when a Quaker gets you quaking in your boots 🤣
When I have done what's your religion type of personality tests, that is what I aligned with most. The
first time I wondered how accurate the test was so I did another one and the results were the same...

I've never checked the difference between Quakers and Mennonites. There were quite a few Mennonites where I used to live and I never heard a bad word about them. People often got them to work on their homes because their work was excellent.

When an emphasis on SHOULD. 😅

It's all on the person doing the preaching/ teaching. Unfortunately it's been misused a lot in the church. On the other hand when I hear a woman use the word "misogynist" it's usually someone with blue and purple hair and severely overweight screaming about her right to abort her child. Also, usually a lesbian.

I don't know I've never took it,
I could get use to idea of being a Quaker it's quite appealing,

Just like when I go to the supermarket I always choose Quaker oats for my breakfast 😊

maybe in the Quakerhood that's what they all eat to.

I heard that the Quakers stand for social justice, but I've just been reading up that they don't have a church leader, but I like to hear it from the horses mouth.
