Hello Everyone,

I think most people have heard or are aware of GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic and Wegovy. They were originally developed to help diabetics, but now many people are taking them for weight loss.

I have family members who have considered them due to concerns with blood sugar, but personally, I don't feel comfortable with this. I know a few other people who are taking or have taken it, and have had varying results and side effects.

Although common side effects mentioned in most articles include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle loss, I've also heard of issues with vision loss in diabetics who are more prone to, or already have, vision-related issues. Research doesn't seem to know if the drugs caused the vision loss directly, or if it made existing risks/problems with vision loss worse. And, vision loss was not restored even after the subjects stopped taking the drugs.

I've also read some harrowing testimonies of people whose stomachs became permanently paralyzed because of these drugs, and had to have multiple surgeries, as well as permanent life-altering interventions as a result.

I was just wondering if anyone here has been/is on these drugs or knows anyone who is or has taken them, and what their results have been.

I would appreciate any testimonies people would feel comfortable sharing, but I realize this is a sensitive topic.

If answering the thread here seems too personal, I'm also going to include a poll in which you can choose multiple answers, but no one can see that it was you who answered.

The poll only allows about 10 answer options and will be limited, so I'm hoping people will come back and expand upon their answers in their posts.

Thank you for your time, and my God bless you in your quest for health! 💗

I think it is best to wait it out. Let lab mice (humans) try it, see what happens after like 5 years and maybe come back to this topic, after keeping an I on a few users.

Tons of people who got the COVID shots are having some major life issues after taking them. So with anything new, I think it is best to wait.

In my own life, I know one person for whom it's gone horrifically, and another who has successfully lost weight, but now has that telltale sign of having a face that looks at least 10 years older than their body.

I realize this can happen in any case of rapid weight loss, but it seems to have become one of the hallmarks of taking these drugs.

I’m happy with my weight, even though I’m a big guy. I usually want to lose weight to attract the opposite sex but I found out in the last 6 months that I am actually maddeningly attractive just the way I am, apparently.

You’d think if I was so maddingly attractive, that there would be line of women outside my house or at least paparazzi or something.

Usually there is action behind words, otherwise it’s just a lie or delusion.
Then again over 11% of New York City’s LinkedIn population saw my post that I wrote, thanking all my ex girl friends for the career I have today lol. So who knows, maybe the plane ride over here just takes a while.

ive only been to New York in my mother’s tummy.

There's one commercial for an insulin weight loss product. Huge list of possible side effects. The last being lower limb loss.

I lost both legs but I can now fit into a size zero little black dress.

I wonder how many people call for a Doctor's appointment ASAP after watching that commercial?

Reminds me of Russian drug Krokodil, where its so addictive that you keep using it until all your flesh and bones rot away.

Of the people I know, one went on these drugs for diabetes; the other, for weight loss (though of course, excess weight causes its own set of problems.)

Sadly, the one who took it strictly for medical purposes had the most complications and had to stop taking it.

I also know of someone whose relative was on it, and one of the doctors said they see people daily who are having problems, but don't know if its specifically because of those drugs, or other factors.

I take a natural supplement called Berberine that is supposed to have a similar effect. I've lost 35lbs. In the past 15 months.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice.

I did look it up. It's Desomorphine. A synthetic form of Morphine.
It's known as the drug that eats junkies. :( Maybe it was manufactured for just that reason.

Kinda reminds me of this whole fentanyl epidemic here in America. Probably one of the main reasons God appointed Trump to be in office, to put an end to all of it.

My sister was a heroin addict not too long ago. She built up such a toleranec, that fentanyl had no effect on her. I think she overdosed many times but God kept her alive, every single time.

Now she is sober, has a husband and they have a child named Jesse, named after the husband. He was a complete God send. Him and my dad are very alike; same politics, smokes cigarettes and isn’t afraid to defend his family and kick some *ss, which makes me feel safe that she is with him.

Two family members taking these drugs. They were both heathy, beautiful, early middle aged women. They have both lost weight but now look terrible. Sadly, they both don't appear able to see anything but their slender bodies. They are blind to what is actually happening.

I fear what is going to happen when they are no longer able to take these chemicals. This stuff is pure evil.

I think President Trump is going to do a lot for America in righting the many wrongs that have plagued us for years.

Very good to hear about your sisters recovery and new family and child. May God continue to bless her. And you too .

Thank you @bluejean_bible i appreciate that. I didn’t tell the full story but when she found out she was pregnant, she had to go to jail for like 7 months. So she had no choice but to remain sober. She also ended up finding Jesus while in there.

I just pray they can keep it up.
