That's true. It's written in Peter, God is lomg suffering and patient, hoping they would come to repentance. Reality is, Reprobates are not going to repent and conform to God's standard. Ezekiel chapter 18, if the wicked don't repent, and change from their wicked ways, its destruction.
Psalm chapter 34. Evil shall slay the wicked. This group destroys themselves. God judges sin.
Psalm chapter 37. Reprobates will be destroyed on judgement Day. They won't repent and they reject Jesus. Romans chapter 9, they are vessels for destruction. Take care.
Here's another reality, not all who may appear as reprobate are actually so. If you had met me even a couple of years ago you would probably considered me reprobate.

There's a lot of lost sheep out there trying to find their way home.

Zero. I live on the side of a mountain in the middle of nowhere. I do have a few neighbors, but none of them are believers. My best friend took his life a few years ago.
I've visited several churches in town, but they're an hour away and nothing to write home about.

I believe God wants me alone right now, and that's fine with me. When I bother to turn my phone on, I come here for something that sort of resembles fellowship. It will have to do for now.

Schema monk in training .. 😀

I had to look that one up.
Oh no not me. LOL
Quite content just to be the worship leader here on my little plot of paradise.

As for Orthodoxy, and I know you were just being funny.
I've been following several Orthodox priests on YouTube for a while now. While I have strong disagreements on several doctrinal issues, I've heard very little from our Protestant pastors that comes anywhere close to their depth of spiritual understanding.

I would have probably already made the switch if not for those doctrinal disagreements.

You weren't Reprobate. You were spiritually dead. And if you have holy Spirit, your lucky. Reprobates won't repent and believe there own lies. They don't want to give uo there habitual sinning. There not Born again.
There are two different groups
Spiritually dead Romans chapter 11
Reprobates 2 Corinthians chapter 4
Reprobates have unclesn Spirit. Spiritually dead have Spirit of slumber. Reality is, the truth is too close to comfort for you. Keep away. !!!

When did you meet Christ Jacko?
What happened that caused you to stray? And how did you find your way home? Maybe we should start a thread where others like us can tell our stories. I was given the Spirit in 1990. Church abuse pushed me out of the fold, At the beginning of 2023 Christ left the 99 and came to bring me home. I'm safe now, secure. And I know that I always was. He never left me, never condemned me.
His mercies endureth forever.

I documented it and told the truth. Your the one who is spiritually blind. Your incriminated by Truth. I've dealt with cowards like you before. Stay away from me. !

There is the sheep that went astray from the other 99. When the Good Shepherd searched, found and brught home sthe one, all of heaven rejoiced.

There is not limiting the Love that is Our Maker.

I think you have me confused with someone else.

I think you might have a different Jesus too.

The Christ I know, the Christ who delivered me from all manner of evil and sin, and Has been with me through many many trials and temptations, is always faithful, even when I'm not.

My Christ promised that He would never leave me nor forsake me.

My Christ doesn't kick his kids to the curb because they stumble and fall.

My Christ leaves the 99 and goes out searching for His lost sheep.

My Christ ever liveth to make intercession on my behalf.

My Christ would like to remove that root of bitterness and condemnation from your heart.

You should let Him.

Shalom Shalom my wounded friend.

I accepted Jesus at 17 and a junior in high school. in college, I went to church off and on and right after I graduated from college. I did go to a church regularly. But I’ll tell you the truth, I didn’t read the Bible and my faith was very shallow.. Then like a lot of people, life happens and I got a job and I got married and I had to move, and you know once you move, your disconnected from the church and it’s hard to find a new church and I kept putting it off and putting it off and my faith just withered.

Professionally, I was doing very well, and I climbed the corporate ranks, eventually reaching a position of senior vice president of a small investment firm. A couple years ago, my wife was scammed in an online cryptocurrency scam, she lied to me about the whole thing and made up a very elaborate scam and story. It set our family back multiple hundred thousands of dollars in savings. It was like a bad dream and I prayed to God that it wasn’t true, but it was.. I think there was like an online romance behind-the-scenes but these scammers are professional let me know what they’re doing. I don’t blame her because my relationship with my wife (non-Christian) at the time, was already deteriorated badly and we haven’t slept in the same room in years and I was living in deep deep in Sin with unbreakable addiction to pornography. Earlier this year, I was fired from my corporate job out of the blue. It was a devastating blow.

I didn’t want to feel sorry for myself so I started to read David Goggins, and basically was deep into self-help. I use the time to get in shape and lose a lot of weight and read both of his books. And started praying to help me with a job. After finishing both of his books, I started exploring other areas of self-help and started watching videos of this yogi named Sadguru, snd I started to think what’s the next book I should get to read and out of nowhere…. the Holy Spirit said to me, read the Bible that was very clear and mistakable. I don’t know if I actually started reading the Bible or I went to church first but basically something led me back to church and it’s probably because I felt so helpless in my circumstances. By the grace of God, my entire family is now saved, but I still don’t have a job and it’s been 10 months and it’s really stressful man. I started exploring a new avenues and got license in life insurance sales but it’s not easy. In fact, I don’t even have one sale. But still, I’m trying to stay positive to cling on God‘s promises Jeremiah 29:11 being one of my favorites.

I just wanted to say this forum has been like a blessing, because there’s only so much you can say to your only Christian friend who is your 11-year-old son, and I hope to make new online friends here and hope we continue to support each other because that’s what it’s all about and to pray for each other through our struggles.

Amen

That's a great testimony, and a fine verse to cling to.
If there's any verse of scripture that has gotten me through, not just the last two years but the last twenty its this one: " My grace is sufficient for thee."

You do realize, there's an ignore feature? If you want to be left alone, stop replying to my comments. And by all means, report me, I've done nothing wrong. I welcome the moderators to go through our brief exchange and decide between us. None of that would be necessary, if you weren't so mean spirited and condemning.

If you are not interested in what I have to say, ignore me and quit trying to have last word. Its really just that simple.

By the way. Did you pray for me today? I prayed for you, fervently.

Be blessed, be well. Shalom.

Hello everyone.
I just joined, this is my second post.
I have one real friend, who is sadly very ill, could I ask for prayer for him.
He is a true believer, great singer and musician, he has been battling with
cancer this past number of years.

I do not make friends easily, mostly because I am sick a lot of the time.
Nothing anyone can catch off me.
Spent my life working very hard, from early morning until 2 or 3 the next morning,
so missed out on social life.

Met a woman in court one day, she asked me to her church, I curiously went along
that Sunday, when the Pastor spoke I knew I was in the right place, he spoke of having
a relationship with God, he went into great detail, never the less he was very easy to
understand and a joy to listen to.
I remember my first words to him were, "I hope you don't plan on going anywhere
anytime soon", he was a white South African man.

Anyway, I hope the Lord guides us all regarding friends, I often tell younger people
that it is critical to be careful who you let into your life, because the impact for better
or worse can be immense.
If God has not placed them in our paths, then we are better off to wait until He does.
His plans for us all is what matters most.

Hello T
So glad you decided to join us. What is your friends first name, its helpful. I will definitely pray for him and you as well. If you scroll through the homepage you should find a thread just for prayer requests. You will probably get a lot more people seeing your prayer request in that thread. I don't know why its not at the very top where it should be, but scroll down and you will find it.

Hi @Publican , thank you for prayer, my friend's name is Joe.
I will check out the prayer section soon, am kind of afraid to look in it
because I see so much suffering these days, truly we are in the end times,
I just mentioned Joe because he is my friend and I could not pass up the opportunity
to lift up his plight.
I came here for a particular reason, not sure yet where to bring it up or even if I should.
