i was too scared to try a dating site. my fear was, "what if no one contacts me? dang!" hahaha also, i can email/chat/phone quite ok, but the whole meeting up in person freaked me out a little bit.

Haha well there is cdff, Fusion101, and the Christian cafe one offers an initial free trial- I must warn you though... most of my experience on dating sites has been negative... in fact I even met someone who was actually in prison!! I can relate. There are actually lots of Christians where I live: married couples/families or college kids! Not exactly a premium fishing spot for an adult.
Also where I live there are very few decent churches with mainly much older people or families... I'm encouraged by tourist and his wife though... and I know that if the Lord wants me to meet someone then it will happen... it's difficult to know what to do isn't it... should I never go on sites.... I dunno lol

Haha well my church is tiny... but I have friends who co-pastor a big church in the city, an hour from me, they organise a singles event every 6 months with a speaker and it is very encouraging. A lot of people from that church serve at the event by cooking etc and it's really nice. I think there should be more opportunities for Christians to socialise, your idea isI’m not in the UK so I don’t know. All the sites you mentioned in another post I never heard before. The US sites are hit or miss, I definitely won’t send a message if they are not Christian and even then I want to make sure we are equally yoked. I think a great idea is adding in the bulletin of the church singles that want to mingle! Lol that would help

That would be a great Idea. Growing up in the US State of Utah, Home of the Mormons, I saw them put on several Events like you Speak of. Usually in age groups 20-30 y/o Dance, LDS only Fri. Night, 30-40 Sat. Night, etc.
I did that. Love meatloaf.Honestly and being real speaking we all don’t like being single. God created us for friendships / relationships with Him first and others. Most of us have love to give and want to receive. Yes it’s risky putting our hearts out there, we all don’t want to be hurt, but if we don’t try the answer will always be no. Best thing to do is seek Gods peace about that person and pray for red flags. It’s also important to keep our eyes on Him while we wait.
Bible says the flesh is weak, thus it’s important to put God first together (equally yoked) and to encourage each other to put and keep on the full armor of God.
