It's not cryptics if you think about it BUT dating sites show a lack of patience for God's will and when you lack patience you make mistakes. Many people make mistakes by rushing into things on dating sites which are riddled with other problems too like fakers and liars.

Gods will... online dating sites were created by us humans and possibly Christians. It very well might be Gods will. Some might not want to limit themselves to just their local church or grocery store and find out their interests and goals before meeting them. We just have to be very careful as always even if you did meet them for the first time in person. Guard your heart.

It takes a lot of trust to share intimate bits of your life with complete strangers but here, there is an expectation that you are among Friends (even eternal Brothers and Sisters one day) who won't judge you as the World does but instead offer a kind ear and warm words.

Before you make another of your posts, please consider how difficult @Butterflyyy's situation must be, and possibly many others here who may share her story or have lived through the same situation and find comfort in the kind responses from this community.

Please, Show Love and Understanding to others and their situations just as Our Lord and Savior chooses to Love each of us deeply despite our MANY FAULTS.

And if this is not enough, remember that in the Scriptures in (Matt. 18 : 20 NKJV) Jesus states: " ...... For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them .... ". Even here on this forum, Jesus sees and hears everything, weighing the intentions and for each word whether spoken or typed - We will give an account before HIM at the Judgement.

I defense of Lanolin I think she is being slightly misunderstood and people might be reading a bit more into her posts then are actually there....I don't think she was being critical of Butterfly by bringing up self pity or even accusing her of it, I think she was just saying to be wary of it....which is true. I think she was trying to be helpful but the tone may have been off. So much can be misinterpreted through text. If I'm wrong, I'll happily eat my words but I don't think I am. So maybe everyone can reserve the judgment you speak of

Just said a prayer for you. I know how you feel, I feel the same way. God hates divorce, so I feel disgusted. I do know God knows the heart and I’m trusting He has a great plan for us. God is good all the time even in our darkest hour. I lean on Him to carry on this journey.

she seems like one of those off-the-cuff posters who posts like she talks in real life but you don't get the facial expressions, mannerisms, vibe, etc on a forum board. Leaves lots of room for misinterpretation....

Kidding aside, based from my experience online dating is not for me, tried it before with my guard up, even on a christian site where I only met “creeps” not to elaborate with too much description, I guess there are good people too, but I’ve never met them. Dating Sites are full of different kind of people and their disposition as Christians too and if we are not strong enough in our faith, belief, set standards and conviction we may fall and maybe compromise. But I heard some stories that progress thru online dating.

I think I am in place right now where God made me realize that He is more than enough, that He gives comfort that satisfies my soul, there are times of loneliness and longingness to be love and be loved and God made me realize that No one could ever truly love me like what Christ did for us, AND if that someone comes along, someday, somehow, it is alright too. The only pressure usually comes from our surrounding esp at family parties and get together with friends where people would wonder why are we single, but as long as we are in good position with God and with right mindset and standing, I think we are okay, I am okay. Just sharing and encouraging singles out there to put our hope and trust in God, to be secure in our relationship with God who surely wants the best for us.

I learned to do things on my own, kept myself busy and enjoys it.
Doing the things I love and like, Hobbies , arts and craft, music, baking class, recreation, water sport, engage in a daily workout to improve myself, be better and stay on the positive side.
Also I can travel anytime anywhere too.
There's a lot of perks being single

Dating sites I find to be meat markets these are the secular sites I can't speak about Christian dating site as never went on one of those. That is why I came on this site to meet other Christians and chat and get to know people just as a side note ended up with a marriage partner but Tourist and I did a lot of talking and typing to get to know one another before we ever met face to face.

I was attracted to his nonjudgmental posts to people and his Christian attitude. He sounded lonely having lost his wife and I had a pet die and we comforted each other.

This site is much more relaxed than a dating site - well and then you do have the BDF which can get a little touchy but being able to get to know people is a little easier here.

You wouldn’t believe the stories I’ve been through... even a man on a Christian dating site tried to ask me out. Anyways, there are cruel insensitive men out there, but I believe there are good men too. Protect your heart and hang in there! God has a great plan for all of us.

I have had bad experiences on Christian Dating sites as well, it must be more common than I realized.

Churches are an excellent place to find a partner, however not as easy. There are singles groups but most cater to young adults. I’m pretty much there to learn about God and worship Him, but you’re right the opportunity to meet a potential partner could happen. Dating sites you know they are looking for a relationship and you get a glimpse about that person from their intro, interests, goals, values etc before you meet them.

Here in America, I have been Eviscerated twice by 'GOD fearing', Church going Ladies, and without blinking an eye. But 'The Body of Christ' here is nothing like it should be .
