If you ask God for his spirit he will give it to you. God is good. It will happen. I'll talk about this by the way if anyone has anything to ask or criticize.
Of course he will always do
whatever Jesus said to his disciples in the gospel
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how
much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”
Luke 11:13 KJV
The problem is God always does what he says and does things how he says often we don’t like his plan or design for things . Its not just this sentance about asking for the Holy Ghost but everything else too
for instance we can’t reject the name of Jesus reject his word and then ask God for the holy ghost , and expect to receive it , but rather everything needs to go through Christ and what he preached in the gospel which
is the spirit of God preaching the gospel
just as true as the other and was spoken by Gods spirit himself
“
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
For
I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that
his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me,
so I speak.”
John 12:48-50 KJV
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
John 6:63 KJV
The holy ghost will always agree with the words of Christ because the holt spirit is his spirit who spoke those words promising life and spirit and truth and salvation.
“Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
…….These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall
teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
John 14:6-7, 25-26 KJV
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
“The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that
Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
….and, being assembled together with them,
commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
For John truly baptized with water; but
ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. …But
ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And
when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.”
Acts 1:1-2, 4-5, 8-9
The gospel of Jesus and his kingdom holds all of Jesus the kings promises is the idea. Biblically a kings word can never be altered within his kingdom his messengers just carry his word to the subjects of the kingdom
