That is exactly what you have been doing.

Misrepresenting .

The scripture isn't even talking about stillborns and dead babies.

Show where you see a stillborn baby in these verses.

Psalms 58

Do you rulers indeed speak justly?
Do you judge people with equity?
2 No, in your heart you devise injustice,
and your hands mete out violence on the earth.
3 Even from birth the wicked go astray;
from the womb they are wayward, spreading lies.
4 Their venom is like the venom of a snake,
like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears,
5 that will not heed the tune of the charmer,
however skillful the enchanter may be.
6 Break the teeth in their mouths, O God;
Lord, tear out the fangs of those lions!

It isn't even about people in general. This is what happens when scripture is not understood within it's context. The passage is speaking of a specific subset of people ie. wicked rulers and the reason the Lord can speak of them as beginning that way from the womb is because the Lord is omniscient knowing the end from the beginning.

We, as God's people, would love to think that a baby born dead or severely disabled would automatically go to heaven. However, that goes against the very word of God which proclaims that we are sinners from birth.
That being said, we do have a God who has established a covenant with His people.
Gen 6:18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.
God's people, those whom are a part of this covenant, may take some comfort in this relationship. However, we must accept that it is God's decision!

Are you saying there are some individuals not affected by Adam's sin?

you changed the subject. we're all born as sinners. if someone is born handicapped & can not in any way, be accountable for themselves, that person goes to heaven at their passing. reason is they are not capable of learning to be saved.

So...no need to be born again?

If God has saved them they are born again. Being born again is our salvation.
I don't disagree. I was asking another poster of the necessity of it. You seem to be saying it is necessary.

I'm glad to see a Protestant arrive at this conclusion.
God bless you!

No need for Christs Blood and Righteousness, being born handicap will get you in.

NO! anyone not accountable for themselves goes to heaven. people with cerebral palsy or severely handicapped in anyway, automatically, go to heaven.
Sorry Karlon, but I have a granddaughter who was born with cerebral palsy and is a now a delightful teenager. I love her very much, and she is a joy to be around.
  • She will need help for the rest of her life.
  • Her speech is severely affected.
  • Her muscular co-ordination is such that the least little thing could cause her to fall.
  • She can barely feed herself.
I pray that God has called her to himself. However, I do not believe that means that she has a free pass.

Do stillborns and babies go to ‘hell’?

*

Romans 7:8-11. I was alive once without the law when I was a child... I had no understanding of the law as a child and I was sinless because where there is no law, there is no sin. But when I became old enough to understand the law, sin slew me.

John 9:41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of your sin. But now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

Romas 7:7 … I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead. 10 Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came [to me], sin sprang to life and I died.

*

One is born innocent, and remains so, until one reaches the point where they think they know enough to make a decision about sin/God. Being born into sin, means we live in a world that is predisposed to make sure we make the wrong decision about God. Until they understand and decide, babies have no sin to die from.

Thoughts?
They go to Heaven 🙄

I'm saying if you are not born again you are not saved. If one is talking about being saved they are saying they are born again. Whether they realise that or not, I can't say but salvation is the new birth, passing from spiritual death to spiritual life.

Man, I’ve got to look at the date on these older threads. This one was some poster just making a thread about some crazy thought that popped into his head. I wonder if there was ever a point where he thought, Why would God send them to Hell. Man, the level of spiritual discernment here is at Level Zero.

Thoughts?
God is loving. God is just. God is holy. Whatever view one has about the matter must be in line with these, and it is pretty plain that condemning babies to eternal suffering is inconsistent with God's nature.

That said, 'hell' isn't what most people think. So the issue is complicated by different definitions of the term.
